After closing “Dancehall Night” of Reggae Sumfest 2013, Reggae artist I Octane was requested to do the same task at the 2014 event. With news of this members of the music fraternity were not pleased and expressed how they felt about it. One of his detractors include Mr. Vegas. Tonight on Onstage I Octane had a quick chat with Winford Williams. Here he spoke about keeping current, his issue with Mr. Vegas, his thoughts on closing Reggae Sumfest, encouraging the older acts to give the youth a chance in the music business, what to expect with his Sumfest performance, his recent gigs overseas and the success from them, and wanting to inspire many. A good interview here, I Octane really handled himself well with last year’s Reggae Sumfest and despite Vegas’ remarks, he will do a good job at this year’s staging.
