Dropping bars on the block is the duo of New York Rappers Cash Bilz and Troo. Titled “Bulls***“, this SOUL produced track was directed by Benny G and it shows Cash Bilz and the gang making stops on the block, hitting up the corner store and dropping lyrics where they’re urging the NY DJs to play their music, Hip Hop being a lifestyle, how dope they can be when they hit the booth, and getting at the new rappers who promote trash music. A good effort here and SOUL’s production along with the Big L sample complimented Cash and Troo’s lyrics and delivery. Shade Gang Crazy, put them on the radio Flex, Envy, Clue and even KaySlay. Today on Power 105.1’s “The Breakfast Club”, Dancehall artist Beenie Man made a guest appearance. Here he shared his thoughts on the T.I./Floyd Mayweather fight and cheating, Vybz Kartel’s current situation, Kingston, overseas acts recording in Jamaica, working with female artists, staying current after all these years, being a “Gallis“, his new EP “The Greatest Gallis“, avoiding beefs and his current tour. It’s still good to see Beenie doing his thing after so many years and he gets my respect for that. Beenie sure loves to “twang” (ha!). Today’s video comes in the form of an Interview with Shaggy from the Breakfast Club on NY’s Power 105.1. Here he spoke about some aspects of Jamaica and misconceptions, his start in the music industry, his new album “Out Of Many One Music“, his style of music and many other topics. Interesting Interview from Shaggy although sometimes I was weirded out by the “twang” and the generic questions. That was a crazy story with him and the late James Brown. You can learn a little of his background in this interview. Check it out below and share your thoughts in the comments section.
