With recent news of his departure from Dancehall artist Konshen’s Subkonshus camp, lyrical artist Masicka released a song. Titled “Loyalty“, he explains his reasons for leaving and lets everyone know that he’s not out to disrespect anyone and would rather work on his career. Don’t want to say much here, I’d rather let the music speak. Check out the track below and share your thoughts in the comments section.
Today’s new music comes from the SubKonshus CEO, Konshens. Titled “Don Daddy (SuperCat Style)” and produced by Shane Brown on the “Greatest Creation Riddim“, Konz pays tribute to Deejay SuperCat and his 20+ year old song, “Don Dada“. Konz borrowed a little of SuperCat’s flow over this production where he spoke about being a champion, his start in the music business, name drops his SubK team, and also shows respect to the foundation deejays like Lady Saw, Josey Wales, Bounty Killa and Shabba Ranks. Great effort here, It would be cool to hear a remix of this with the Don Dada himself. Check out the track below and share your thoughts in the comments section.
Tonight on Onstage, Konshens and Masicka were featured to discuss a few things. Here Konshens spoke about his Konz876 shoe line and its progress so far, his collaboration with Sean Paul and performing it overseas including on the Arsenio Hall Show, and signing Masicka to his Subkonshus label and future projects. Masicka also reintroduced himself to the world, connecting with Konshens, creating a buzz lately with new music, wanting to be a bigger force in Dancehall music, and upcoming performances and projects. Masicka also performed a new single on set. Good interview, both artists have been creating a great buzz in their respective lanes and coming together it will be greater. After heating up the airwaves for months, Sean Paul and Konshens finally dropped the visual for their “Want Dem All” single. Directed by Jon J. and shot in Costa Rica, we see Sean and Konz thrilling the crowd at a concert by day, and enjoying the ladies dancing at a party in the night. A good effort here and seeing Jamaican acts rocking a huge crowd is really a good look. Sean Paul’s “Full Frequency” album is in stores now! Kicking off this Valentine’s Day is a performance from Sean Paul and Konshens on the Arsenio Hall Show. Performing their hit single “Want Dem All“, SP and Konz declared they want all the lovely ladies out there while being backed by a live band and some great dancers. Great performance and big up to Arsenio Hall as he was also cheering for their performance. Check out the video below and share your thoughts in the comments section.
Today I bring two videos for the price of one. Konshens has been making waves lately with not only his singles but with his new line of footwear under the brand Konz876. His new videos are titled “Big People Ting” and “How We Living” and were directed by RD Studios. In “Big People Ting” we see Konz being surrounded by bikes, fire, and beautiful dancing ladies in a party setting. Very exciting video and this single has been one of those burning up the airwaves recently. In “How We Living” we see the “SubK Cam” filming Konshens and his friends living it up from having dinner at fancy restaurants, interacting with fans, Yachting, popping bottles, and launching the Konz876 sneakers. We see cameos and short clips from other entertainers and affiliates of Konshens talking about coming from nothing to making something happen in their lives. Great efforts from the artist and this should hold you over till the next wave of videos are released. Check out them out below and share your thoughts in the comments section.
In today’s music industry many artists can’t just carry home the bread with only the success of hit songs. It’s all about the artist as a brand and so merchandising is the next step. On Onstage Konshens has a brief chat with Winford Williams about his ventures. Here he spoke about his t shirt line that was done a few years ago, his new shoe line Konz876 along with setting up an outlet in Jamaica, how much input he has in the line, the growth of his career and wanting to climb to higher heights. I do hope he finds much success with his new venture, the game changer sneakers aren’t bad though. What you think? Check out the video below and share your thoughts in the comments section.
