In 2024, Dancehall Artist 1SkiMask made headlines when it was announced that he secured his first International record deal. Joining the Against Da Grain Entertainment/Epic Records roster, many sent thoughtful and positive comments the Deejay’s way, building anticipation for his official debut on the big stage. Since then, he has been working on new music, and connecting with his fanbase with the assurance that good things are on the way. With new opportunities comes change, and the Deejay now goes under the name, “1Ski OG”. The new change aims to expand his global reach, along with the release of his debut singles, “Feel Like”, and “Double Life”.
1Ski OG makes his International debut interesting with the spicy singles “Feel Like”, and “Double Life”. The tracks are targeted for his female listeners, and with the raunchy lyrics and raw energy displayed throughout, they will quickly become guilty pleasures. On “Feel Like”, which was produced by Maurice Linton for Armzhouse Records, 1Ski OG taps into sensual pleasures throughout, deep diving into the listener’s emotions with a mission to to fulfill fantasies, and turning the listening experience into a very intimate one. “Feel Like” also pays tribute to Dancehall of yesteryear with a sample from Admiral Bailey’s 1989 single, “Science Again”. On “Double Life”, which features production by Weekday for Tru Ambassador Ent., 1Ski OG gets caught up in an affair with another man’s woman. The listener gets pulled into a few episodes of the Deejay’s adventures with his secret lover, a life that he has been active in while also being in a relationship. The Deejay takes a bold risk with his debut, but he believes things will go in a positive direction for his career.
1Ski OG looks forward to the feedback and support on “Feel Like” and “Double Life”, and supporting content including music videos, are in the final stages of completion. The Deejay will also join Against Da Grain Entertainment in a promotional campaign, which will include live performances, and media appearances. 1Ski OG’s International career will be guided by Tyshawn “Fly Ty” Johnson, President of Against Da Grain Entertainment (ADG Ent.), and a lot more will be in store following the release of the new singles.
