A year ago Jamaican singer Tessanne Chin stepped up to the plate to become a contestant on NBC’s The Voice and eventually winning. This season, another Jamaican steps up and her name is Anita Antoinette. Entering the Blind Auditions with her voice and guitar, she performed the timeless Bob Marley song, “Turn Your Lights Down Low“. Hailing from Kingston and currently residing in Boston, Massachusetts, does Anita have what it takes to advance further on The Voice? Titled “Waiting For You” and produced by DJ Frass Records on the “7th Heaven Riddim“, he shares his thoughts to the Empresses and states he’s been waiting for the right one to appear in his life to create the perfect balance. NEW VIDEO: @DaxLion x @MrVocals – Baby Girl

Dropping off his new video today is Reggae artist Dax Lion. Titled “Baby Girl” which features Marcus Marshall and directed by Jeremy Mooney, we see Dax and Marcus performing the song at the Valley Of Fire State Park in Nevada. We’re also treated to visuals of two beautiful ladies who are rocking to the James “Bonzai” Caruso produced single. Not a bad effort here, the video is clean and I like the location as well. Dax Lion has been representing Reggae in various places and I know he’s working on more music to deliver to the world. Titled “Pura Maldad (Pure Evil)“, and produced by BK and Combo De Oro for Cinnamon Quality Records, we hear Tommy Lee Sparta trading badman lyrics with the Spanish artist. While many may not understand the language, we can all agree that there is a vibe to it. Big up to Tommy Lee Sparta for trying something different here. I need a translator. Here he spoke on losing his mother, his “Reggae Euphoria” album, sharing some thoughts on the IShawna/Foota Hype feud, his Reggae Sumfest appearance, performing overseas, and more.
