Though Shav-A has been on the radar of many over the years thanks to her various releases, she is now set to make a huge impact on Jamaica’s music scene as well as well as making her mark around the world.

Released through G Shav Music, “Do It Like Me” finds Shav-A oozing confidence as she takes you on a musical ride, and by the end you all will agree that no one does it like her. With her soft and sensual vocals, and top production that complements the lyrics, Shav-A will grab your attention, as she turns up the heat and takes you into her private world.

The single is a follow up to the successful summer 2020 video release of her “Island Girl” track, and serves as a prelude to her debut EP, “It’s All About Love” with the first song scheduled for a late 2020 release and will feature the legendary Jamaican saxophonist, Dean Fraser. Kingston based Record label DZL Records has been one of the institutions that has released quality music over the years. Founded by Producer Dale “Dizzle” Virgo, the label has been behind the releases of hit singles by Christopher Martin, Jahvinci, Chronixx, Kim Nain, Delando Colley, Ce’cile, and many others. The label looks to take things to another level with their recent partnership with International Music Distributor, AWAL.

Short for “Artist Without A Label”, AWAL is considered an alternative to the traditional music label. A division of Kobalt Music Publishing, AWAL provides global music distribution, A&R services, Promotions, Public Relations, and many others, and is at the forefront of technology, empowering artists, and driving transparency across the industry. DZL Records is one of the first Jamaican Record labels to take advantage of this partnership, and “Goodie Goodie” by Scantana is the first release through it.

DZL Records has been enjoying a successful 2020 thanks to their many music releases. Singles that have been circulating include Starr Dane’s “Talk Dem A Talk”, Laty Kim’s “Gi State”, Ce’cile’s “Occupied”, Delando Colley’s “Blaze It Up” featuring Dale Virgo, and Starr Dane’s “Urgency (State Of Emergency)” featuring Dale Virgo and Scantana. On the production side, Dale Virgo lent his sound to Bounty Killa and Agent Sasco’s “Freedom”, Tanaania’s “Boss” featuring Ce’cile, and handled mixing and mastering for Popcaan’s long awaited “Fixtape” project. In addition to music releases this year, DZL Records launched their “Riddim Saturdays” online series, and looks to cover more ground with their “Upful Vibes” Podcast series which is currently streaming on Spotify and Apple Podcasts.

Before there was Kabaka Pyramid the global Reggae artist with many thought provoking hits, there was Kabaka Pyramid the Rapper who could hit you with plenty bars with ease. While Hip Hop definitely influenced his Reggae career, seeing him collaborate with some of his faves gives us a proud feeling. Today, he joins LA Hip Hop artist R-Mean and the legendary Method Man of the Wu-Tang Clan on the track, “Circus“.

Produced by the legendary Scott Storch, the trio go bar for bar as they each show off their distinct style, and make it known that they have no time for clown business or anything that can tarnish their standards. We recall times where Kabaka Pyramid would freestyle or remix one of his songs over Wu-Tang Clan beats, and since then he has collaborated with members Raekwon and Method Man. Many may not understand it, but this collaboration is a big one. Big up Kabaka Pyramid, R-Mean, Method Man, and Scott Storch!

Produced by Felva, Popeye Caution and Splash Zanotti hit the block on the hunt for the loot! With Popeye kicking off the track with the catchy “Buddu bye bow…“, we get some Trap Dancehall vibes with Splash adding some extra badness. Expect this one to make some noise in the coming weeks. In addition to the track, an official music video is set to hit the Internet soon.

US R&B/Pop artist Omarion has enjoyed a long career as a member of the boy band B2K, and as a solo artist. With plenty of hits under his belt, he has proved to himself and the world that anything is possible once you put in the work. Recently, he released his 6th studio album, “The Kinection“, and it features Dancehall artist, Busy Signal!

Teaming up for the album’s opener, “Goddess“, Omarion dabbles in a blend of Pop and Island sounds while delivering his signature vocals throughout. Busy Signal steps in near the end with the opening line, “Bubble bubble gyal don’t slow down, things feel better when you go down…” and brought even more vibes to the track. Busy has been racking up International collaborations for years, and has never missed the mark. Prior to Omarion, he was featured on Major Lazer’s latest album, “Music Is The Weapon“.

.@BobMarley’s “Three Little Birds” Featured In Upcoming @SongBird Movie’s Trailer

Covid 19 has set the world back a whole lot, and has everyone adjusting to a “New norm“. From closures of many avenues of entertainment and business, to our wardrobes now including face masks, we’re just doing what we can to stay safe and not become a statistic. For Filmmaker Michael Bay, movie making will not slow down on his watch, and has announced his upcoming movie, “Songbird“. Its trailer on the other hand, features a Bob Marley classic.

The featured track is Bob Marley’s 1980 hit, “Three Little Birds“. Produced by Bob Marley And The Wailers, the track was featured on classic “Exodus” album, and still remains a favourite for many worldwide. The song was recently covered by Bob Marley’s Grandson Skip Marley for the “School Of Rock” music education program. We highlighted it being covered by Maroon 5 a couple years ago for a Hyundai commercial. “Songbird” is described as a “Pandemic Thriller” that gives viewers another reality of the Covid 19 Pandemic, and it has since caused a stir on Social Media. Many have voiced that Michael Bay probably didn’t read the room when he put this together, but nonetheless, it will have explosions. Thanks to “Songbird”, “Three Little Birds” was given the same remix treatment as The Luniz’s “I Got 5 On It” from the trailer of the Horror flick “US“.
