Dancehall Artist Voiide has been on the grind these past few weeks. On the mission to be heard for 2018 and beyond, he shows listeners the various styles to his art. Today we feature his latest single, “No Sunshine“. Produced by Van-Clive and featuring Rushae, Voiide shows how dark it can get in the country when it comes to not having easy access to a better way of living. The harsh reality anywhere is that when there is no love, and pleas fall on deaf ears of those in power, some people will do whatever to survive. “No Sunshine” is just one of many singles Voiide plans to flood the streets with this year. The track is also available on iTunes/Apple Music (Get it here). For now, check out the track below, share with a friend, and follow us on Instagram at @13thStreetPromo.
With 40 years in, Beenie Man is still one of the greatest Dancehall Entertainers doing it. Some of your favourite Artists no matter where in the world they’re from, will say they grew up listening to Beenie Man. Today he continues his International run by joining Hip Hop/R&B Artist Bryan J and Rapper Young Thug on “Mos’ High“! With 3 different personalities and styles on the record with a “love” theme, this one goes for the ladies and creates a chill vibe from start to finish. This single is featured on Bryan’s Album, “Proof” which was released in March. The last time we’ve heard Young Thug and a Dancehall Artist on a song together was on this one. Something new from Bryan, Thugger, and “Di Girls Dem Sugar“. Check it out below, and follow us on Instagram at @13thStreetPromo.
Before Kabaka Pyramid the Reggae Artist, before “Kontraband” hits the Internet, before “King Kabaka” ran the place, and before “Well Done” rocked the nation, there was the Rapper Keron Salmon a.k.a. “Ronny Pyramid” and he’s featured in our latest “Quick Throwback“! Going back to the year 2008, we check his track “Empty Souls“! Produced by Kevin Coates, Kabaka handles a sample based Production as he delivers some conscious Rap about saving those empty souls out there with the “doctrine from the Lost Papyrus“. The song also paid tribute to the late Rap Brown, a Rapper on the rise who was a part of Kabaka’s Bebble Rock crew, and known in the Jamaican Hip Hop scene.
Since the release of “Empty Souls”, Kabaka merged his Hip Hop influences with his Reggae side and became one of the prominent figures in the “Reggae Revival” movement along with Protoje, Jah 9, Jesse Royal, and many more. He has since released a few projects, and is looking to release his debut Album, “Kontraband” in May 2018. Stay tuned for another quick throwback!

Ever met someone who instantly got you in your feelings? Always looking for love in the wrong way? Well maybe you can relate with Jamaican newcomers Djavan and Damani a.k.a. Friday Night Cru as they present to you their debut single and video. Titled “Monáe“, the single was produced by Austin Marc, while the visual was directed by Adam Armond. The single is a blend of Dancehall, Hip Hop, and Pop influences and finds the Artists (including collaborator LEO. who wasn’t present in the video) meeting the girl that embodies the swagger of the beautiful Janelle Monáe (whom the single draws inspiration from), and making moves. To hear them say it, she’s a “lil bad thing“! The new wave of Artists in Jamaica show respect to those before them, but draw influences from every genre out now to make their own unique sound. Friday Night Cru is the duo you should look out for more from. Check out the video below, and follow us on Instagram at @13thStreetPromo.
Good music never dies, and the Artist’s name will live forever. With his first hit song in 2004 followed by a favourable buzz, Dancehall Artist Shane-O was on the radar of many. The years that followed however found him not getting the right hits, and a decline in the buzz. Fast forward a few more years his name started bubbling back on the scene in the form of his songwriting contributions for a couple Artists which converted into hits. Capitalizing on that, he scored a few more hits on his own including the hugely popular “Partner Draw“. Today, we salute Shane-O, and present to you our latest Playlist titled, “Shane-O: The Comeback Artist“! Featuring the hits and tracks that may have missed you, we look forward to the “World Balla” climbing to higher heights in his career.
