Dancehall Artist Squash may be serving time, but his people are still saying “Free Squash“, and his music knows no bars. With plenty music to feed the streets, he may just be out sooner than you think. While he covers a lot with his tunes, today he looks to motivate you with, “Choppa Lessons“.

Produced by Sky Bad Musiq/KDT Music/NW Records, Squash provides the tools needed for you to wuk and believe, and most certainly achieve in, “Choppa Lessons”. Despite his current situation, Squash is a success story as he took himself and others out of certain hardship. For those who wish to achieve, all you need are a few tools, and strong faith. Despite his absence, the JojoInk Designs-directed music video features a number of familiar faces including Producer Skybad, Social Media personality Tallman, and Dancehall Artist Top Banks, who has been promoting “Choppa Lessons” via a preview for a number of months (and is name-dropped on the track). Nigy Boy Wants A Woman Who’s “Bad Like Dat”

The summer belongs to many Artists, but one looks to claim it all for himself. For a number of years, Nigy Boy has been controlling the scene with a number of singles, and for every other popular Riddim, he’s there in the compilation. He currently holds a high position on the “Hill & Gully Riddim“, but aims to stand out even more on this new release. Check out, “Bad Like Dat“.

Produced by Johnny Wonder/Adde Instrumentals on the “Fuego Riddim“, Nigy Boy has his senses set on that special Woman in, “Bad Like Dat”. The “Blind Casanova” continues to pursue the lovely ladies, but there will be one who always holds his attention the longest. He shares his admiration for that Woman in a visual directed by Simeon Di Great, and he’s very hands-on with her. Ever seen a blind Man conduct a photoshoot? Only Nigy can do this. Witty Wants To Be In His Own World, His Own “Paradise”

We really don’t know what someone is going through. On the outside they may the happiest, most cheerful person who is the life of the party, but on the inside they’re fighting demons, or going through something very serious. Despite his aggressive and too cool persona sometimes, Witty has his challenges, just like everybody else. Some mask them through vices, he decides to put them in a song. In the end, he’s searching for his “Paradise“.

Produced by Dethwrld, Witty vents a bit in, “Paradise”. He makes observations on the people in his life and travels, leaning on vices to mask his troubles, seeing people for who they are, and just finding his way out. ShotByDeth takes on directorial duties along for the accompanying Visualizer, and “Paradise” looks to be another favourite for fans of Witty as he continues to pursue Rock Dancehall. Yaksta Says “It’s Okay” As “TMSM” Album Makes Official Launch

It’s a big week for Recording Artist Yaksta. This week he’s giving fans an exclusive listen of his new album, “The Microphone Saved Me (TMSM)“, as it will make its way officially to the streams soon. His name has been brought up in a few conversations over the past few weeks, while his music continues to be heard locally, and internationally. Ahead of the album, he gives us another piece from the project called, “It’s Okay“.

With a music video directed by Jxsse Jxmes and shot in New York, Yaksta takes on the streets in “It’s Okay”. Hopping on a Citi Bike, he strolls through the neighborhoods as he shares encouraging words, and keeps on thugging this crazy world. The upbeat production contrasts the aggressive production he has been on recently, but it continues to show his diversity in sound, and further enhances his songwriting skills. “The Microphone Saved Me” will be available for streaming soon, but if you want to be ahead of the pack, you can order the digital or physical versions of the album via his official website. Last week, Dancehall Artist Munga Honorable heard some of the best news ever. He was acquitted of murder charges that were against him for a number of years. With this type of freedom in his life, it’s time to party and enjoy life. He stepped out recently with, “Naa Chubble Nobody“.

Produced by Track Starr Music, Munga Honorable is all about the Women, the money, and the good vibes in, “Naa Chubble Nobody”. This one is for the hustlers, the stars, the bosses, and those who are trying to live life in the best way, and not have problems with anyone. Munga has a lot to celebrate, and the Track Starr beat puts him in the right mood. The track is accompanied by a music video directed by Dark Moon Cinema, and Munga is outside with the vibes. OLDIES SUNDAY: Super Cat – Dance Inna New York (1982)

On June 13, 2026, something happened in the US that hasn’t happened in a long time. The Basketball team the New York Knicks won their first NBA championship in 53 years! A time was had for fans, and New York showed how they really celebrated their wins. Jamaica and New York has a strong connection here, as there are players who share a Jamaican lineage, and New York is a place many Jamaicans migrate to. You know the history. Today, we share in the celebrations. We go back in time to check out Super Cat’s “Dance Inna New York“.

Produced by Jah Thomas on the “Gunshot Riddim” and released through Roots Records in 1982, Super Cat shares his time in New York City in, “Dance Inna New York”. Naturally he’d attend a party, and when the people aren’t calling for some the Dancehall greats at the time, they’re calling for him to liven up the place. The Deejay’s name goes far and wide, and when it comes to his skillset, he never disappoints. “Dance Inna New York” was a hit for Super Cat, and is one of his top selections. “Dance Inna New York” was sampled by Rapper Nas for his “Nas The Don” track.

Since the release of “Dance Inna New York”, Super Cat went on to become one of Dancehall music’s most important members. He paved the way for many Deejays, and has secured his place as an Icon. Aside from Dancehall music, he was an early collaborator for a then-unknown Notorious B.I.G., has tunes with Kriss Kross, Sugar Ray, 112, and many others. Super Cat is still active, performing in parts of the world, and releasing a song here and there. “Dance Inna New York” remains a classic. Congrats to the New York Knicks!
