Before making his much anticipated return to Sting, Super Cat had a sit down with Winford Williams to speak on a few things. Here he spoke about his return to Jamaica after many years, his reasons for staying away for so long, sleeping in the cemetery, toting a gun back in the days, growing up in Kingston, his musical career including the infamous Sting clash between him and Ninja Man and much more. Great interview and it’s really good that Super Cat came back and performed in Jamaica. I hope this is an opening for more performances as he was really missed. In the closing parts of Sting 30, Kiprich went on to perform. Being a clash champion at Sting, he called out a few acts to challenge him and was soon confronted by Black Ryno. Black Ryno, who had a not so favourable experience at the last Sting gave Kippo a run for his money and the approval of the audience. If you missed it, USD$30,000 was on the line, who do you think won? Check out the video below and share your thoughts in the comments section.
The Sparta general Tommy Lee Sparta and “Lord Evil” Aidonia were two highlights from Sting 30. First up was Tommy Lee who was accompanied by his “Demons“, went through a few of his hits despite being still healing from his recent accident. In the end Tommy took time out of his set to address his accident and give a testimony of sorts. Aidonia was next to take the stage as he also went through his hits and brought on stage Deablo from his JOP camp. Check out the video below and share your thoughts in the comments section.
One of the few interesting clashes that happened at Sting was one between Ninja Man and D’Angel. The Don Gorgon, dressed in a white ninja suit, took on the “First Lady” and traded lyrics as D’Angel delcared she needs the USD$30,000 prize and will clash for it. If you missed it then you can see who was the victor. Marco Dean’s school fee will be due very soon D’Angel. Check out the video below and share your thoughts in the comments section.
Although Sting is known to have hardcore dancehall performances, singer Romain Virgo brought his Reggae set to JamWorld. Singing some of his hits, Virgo had the crowd in the palm of his hands. Very great performance and sadly it may be his last. I hope he comes back. Check out the video below and share your thoughts in the comments section.
Sting 30 was not complete without a performance from the one and only Sizzla Kalonji. Running through his many hits, Sizzla captivated his audience and burned enough fire to take down a few acres of Forestry. Very energetic performance here, check out the video below and share your thoughts in the comments section.
