We Highlight 5 Of Our Favourite Music Videos Of 2024

2024 was a year, and it’s almost over. However, we can’t let it go without recognizing those who took big steps this year for their creativity and brand. There were more viral moments, and some controversial moments, but we expect even more for 2025. For the 2nd year in a row, we want to recognize the work of the Director (who can’t do it without a great team), and show love to a few of Our Favourite Music Videos Of 2024 in words, and with a few Posters made by our 13th Street Visuals platform. RajahWild – Trophy Front

Remember growing up on Disney cartoons? Well, for Rajahwild’s “Trophy Front“, the timeless “The Beauty & The Beast” was the inspiration for his Music Video. While members of the public interpreted this as Rajahwild endorsing Satan with his makeup, others saw through the controversial takes, and saw a beautiful Woman being captivated by the beastly character. Ruppi of Now Or Never handled the direction for this one.

Nordia Mothersille x Chronic Law – When I’m Gone

Nordia Mothersille took her career to the next level with the release of her debut EP, “Broken Child“. The album featured a variety of sounds and tapped into Rock, Pop, Reggae, and Dancehall influences, and the videos stood out as well. The 1940s Gangster era and 2000s Rock Music Videos played a part in the creation of the video for the Chronic Law-featured, “When I’m Gone“. Shane Creative handled the visual’s direction for one of the EP’s top tracks.

Kraff – Gnarly

Kraff was one of the Artists who enjoyed a great 2024, and along with the musical releases, there were a few visuals. Who doesn’t love a house party? Kraff played host to a big one in the video for, “Gnarly“. The ladies and friends were there along with the vices of choice. The Police was there, and they had fun too, and overall, Kraff threw a party to remember, and Shane Creative directed this one.

Nigy Boy – Old Gyalis

Another Artist who had a phenomenal year was Nigy Boy. We spoke about his breakout year and shared a Playlist here, and he shared a number of Music Videos throughout the year. He has played a number of characters, but he’s always a Ladies Man, even an “Old Gyalis” like one of his latest Music Videos. The video found him in a Nursing Home getting comfy with the Grannies, and there was nothing quiet over there. Rizzy of Now Or Never took on the Directorial role for this visual.

Lila Ike x Joey Bada$$ – Fry Plantain

Waking up with your lover is one of the best things, and for Lila Ike and Joey Bada$$’ “Fry Plantain” video, we view a love story that’s as sweet as the fried treat. From having breakfast together in the countryside, to doing road trips together, and ending the night at the beach, we can only imagine how this one would turn out had it been a Short Film. Djuvii directed this cozy visual.

Honourable Mention:

King Cruff x Runkus – Fall Back

King Cruff made some impact this year with his music. The Canada-based Artist came back to Yaad for a number of visuals for his debut EP, “What Have I ‘Don“. In the early party of 2024, he shared the visual for the Runkus-featured, “Fall Back“. With Kit Weyman’s direction, we got some Michael Jackson “Thriller” vibes from this one, and the presentation continued to show that quality Music Videos can come out of Jamaica.
