It’s a new week, and with it comes new music. We know the influence of Jamaica around the world. No matter how they try to downplay it, wi large! Today’s post highlights a Singer who was influenced by Jamaica’s music culture for his latest single. Check out Maryland-born/Liverpool-based Recording Artist Jalen Ngonda’s “All About Me“.

Produced by Victor Axelrod and released through Daptone Records, Jalen Ngonda taps into some old school Reggae vibes for the new single, “All About Me”. Jalen plays the role of an arrogant lover here as he tells his love interest that his love is a rare one, and she’ll never find another like his. On the other hand, she means something important to him, and he believes the relationship will endure. The song might have been inspired by the 1978 single “Go Away Dream” by Derrick Harriott (which was a cover of the 1973 single by The Chi-Lites), but overall, one would truly believe this was recorded by one of our soulful acts from back in the day. There is even a Dub version of the track that you can check out below. Jalen Ngonda has found himself a viral hit, and we look forward to what he’ll step out with next.

The former lead Singer of the 90s group A.R.P did very well for himself as a solo Artist, creating classics, and standing out with a vocal presence that has people wanting more. He took time away from the scene to focus on other things and taking the music on the road, but the requests for his return kept piling up. He released songs under the radar over time, but people needed him to return with a bang. He did just that today with the release of, “Sunshine Days“.

Produced by Global Merchant Music, Da’Ville makes his official return to music in 13 years with the release of, “Sunshine Days”. This new single is for those who are dealing with dark clouds and cold days, and when the right person or situation comes your way, everything is back in a vibrant colour, and moods are lifted. Da’Ville still has the vocal chops, and this is the start of him coming back with more consistent music. The name Nordia Mothersille has been showing up in the Jamaican music scene for a number of years, and has been highly praised. She has been making the necessary moves to develop her sound, made appearances on a number of tracks, released her own music, and even became a GRAMMY-certified Songwriter. Under the tutelage of Producer Notnice, she has been working towards her big moment. What’s that moment? The release of her debut EP, “Broken Child“.

Consisting of 7 tracks, Nordia Mothersille takes on a new stage with the release of the “Broken Child” EP. She shares songs about love, heartbreak, overcoming battles, and her dreams, and she puts her best foot forward in delivering this project. She has thrilled many over the years with her vocals, and Notnice compliments them well with his production throughout. Chronic Law is the EP’s only guest feature, and he delivered as he should. Nordia Mothersille is ready for bigger leagues and arenas, and those who haven’t been familiar, will know of her game pretty soon.
