When it comes to Reggae Music, it will pass on traditions, and it will tell stories from generations ago. One of the greatest ways the genre has connected with the audience is through the “One Drop Riddim“. It continues to grow in power and influence, and Recording Artist Ras Shiloh is one of the keepers of the “One Drop Riddim”. He speaks on its importance and more in, “One Drop Rule“.
Produced by Stay Nice Music, Ras Shiloh pays tribute to the “One Drop Riddim”, and shares its significance, and its spiritual and cultural legacy in, “One Drop Rule”. He encourages listeners to remember and honour its importance, reflects on times before ours, and pass it on to the next generation the right way, as his forefathers did before. With a music video directed by Tizzy Tokyo, we see a young boy showing interest in music before his time, taking in the messages shared. Things would get more positive when he finds himself at the Symphony Music store in Brooklyn, New York where he meets Ras Shiloh, who would teach him the ways of the “One Drop Rule”, then gifting him some important records to listen to. “One Drop Rule” is featured on the “Landmark Riddim“. Time to build that legacy for the future generations.
