Ignite Uses Music As His “Therapy”

With so much going on in the world today, it’s a miracle how many of us are still standing. Dancehall Artist Ignite knows the pain and hardship he has experienced, and still he moves forward, trying to overcome and gain success. When times get crazy, he uses music as his “Therapy“.

Produced by New Gen Ezy Records/Finesse Musiq/Levels Records, Ignite keeps his head high, and tries to overcome his painful episodes in “Therapy”. The Deejay is aware of those who didn’t mean him well, but he doesn’t need their apologies, and he uses his experiences to make his journey a move determined one. The burdens may be heavy, but he’s pushing on, and he moves accordingly as people are hard to trust, and times are serious. Music is his comfort through it out. “Therapy” is accompanied by a Golden Image-directed Music Video, and it finds the Deejay sharing his words in parts of Kingston, and even connecting with fellow Dancehall Artist Jamal for a fun moment. The world is troubled, we just have to seek our own form of therapy to get by.

Recording Artist Yaksta is one of those who ensures that he gives thanks for the blessings that come his way. He speaks on it on, “Grateful“.

Produced by Big Laugh Music, Yaksta shows gratitude for the opportunities that have been brought his way, and reflects on his journey in “Grateful”. He speaks on the many things that are going on with people in the world today, and emphasizes the importance of not doing immoral deeds in order to achieve success. The track is accompanied by a Music Video directed by Zoomm Creative, and the video starts with Yaksta securing a new Vehicle, and throughout sharing a few highlights in his journey. The Carrzilla Effect Announces “Fire Stick Riddim”, Premieres @OneKacique “Old Fire Stick” Single

Jamaican born/St. Lucia based Label Owner/Entrepreneur/Producer Iraqi “Carrzilla” Carr is always ready to level. The founder of The Carrzilla Effect is always at the forefront when it comes music, and has used his platform to highlight upcoming and top billed acts. This year, he looks to shake things up with his first Riddim release since 2023 called, the “Fire Stick Riddim”. He aims to have the public talking about, and he enlists one of Jamaica’s top Lyricists for the first single.

Kicking off the first phase of musical domination for the year, Carrziila looks to capture the public’s attention with spicy releases from the “Fire Stick Riddim”. A follow up to 2023’s “Fret Not Riddim”, the new Riddim comprises of raw percussion and accompanying sounds that pair well with strong lyrics, and The Carrzilla Effect has a lineup that is guaranteed to make waves. To start things off, Dancehall Artist Kacique is called up for the Riddim’s first single, “Old Firestick”. Kacique has a track record of delivering songs that instantly grab the attention of the ladies, and with the song drawing inspiration from the Caribbean proverb, “Ole fire stick easy fi ketch”, “Old Firestick” plays like a Man who knows the right buttons to press on a former lover to get the best of her. The Deejay gives his signature energy throughout the track, with the intention to keep the single busy all year round in the streets, and in the streams. A music video featuring an appearance by prominent Video Vixen Zho is set to premiere on March 7, ahead of the Riddim Compilation’s official release later this month. 

“I strongly believe in harmony being the sixth sense, and it is used a lot when it comes to making music” shared Carrzilla. “The ‘Fire Stick Riddim’ comes from a dedication to creating the right sound to go well with the current music atmosphere. Picking the right Artists for the Riddim was carefully done, but having Kacique onboard made sense as he possesses a superb songwriting ability, solid melodies, and has a knack for crafting relatable lyrics that fit any production that’s thrown at him. ‘Old Firestick’ is the label’s first single for the ladies, and we’re ready for the world with this Riddim. We look forward to the support that will come.”

Carrzilla’s “Fire Stick Riddim” will be officially released this month through The Carrzilla Effect, while the video for “Old Fire Stick” is out now. It has been a few months since King Cruff released his debut EP, “What Have I’Don“, and he’s staying busy with the music. While he has been posting content online and sharing the stage with a number of Artists, he has been collaborating with a few Artists and brands, elevating his profile in the process. The content continues with the release of the Visualizer for, “Way We Know“.

The Banx & Ranx-produced “Way We Know”, is the closer off of King Cruff’s “What Have I’Don” EP, and it was only right that we got video content for it. With so much that has happened for him in the past few months, the Ian Simon and Neil-Anthony Watson-directed Visualizer plays as a highlight reel that shows us some of his recording sessions, his live performances, Media runs, connecting with family and friends, and more. Cruff has a lot to look forward to in the coming months, and later this month he will make his stage debut at the popular South By SouthWest (SXSW) annual Festival in Texas. Recently, she shared her new single, “Got You“.

Produced by AYODAZE and featuring Recording Artist M3chi, “Got You” is Tanzie’s new single that is all about sharing words of affirmation.
