Masicka Keeps His Enemies On “Mute”

The Summer is creeping up, and that means Dancehall Artist Masicka is gearing up to make it an even hotter one. With rumours spreading of a new album, it’s only right that the Deejay keeps the consistency before a possible announcement. He’s also booked to appear at Hot 97’s Summer Jam, so he will be pretty busy. Earlier today, after a few previews, he unveiled the video for the new single, “Mute“.

Directed by Ruppi for Now Or Never, Masicka is focused on his continued rise as an Artist in, “Mute”. While enemies and naysayers have their opinions and intentions, he’s putting in the work to keep them quiet, and is prepared to overthrow them if they wish to meet him with aggression. The Hemton Music/Attomatic Records-produced track single is already a crowd pleaser, and is expected to take things up another notch when he performs it live. The Music Video features a scene where Masicka deals with the Music Industry in a Boardroom, and the included Whiteboard highlights a number of moments and things on schedule for the Deejay including the previously-released “Whites“, which opened up a new audience for him since its debut. The past few years found Kartel putting away the gyalis lifestyle for the “One Burner” life where he’s committed to one Woman, and his emphasizes it with his latest visual. The video highlights a number of cozy and intimate moments between the couple, and Kartel shares that the love for Sidem is like no other, and she’s better than whoever was there before her, and who will try to approach now. The public may have their opinions, but the love this couple has won’t stop any time soon. The “Addi & Sidem Show” kicks off a new season of love.

This may not come as a surprise to many, but Vybz Kartel is one of the hardest working Dancehall Artists out. Even when he was incarcerated, he was toiling away to ensure the fans are taken care of, and his family is fed. Since his release, he has been having a Portia Simpson-Miller moment (“working working working“), and the world has seen all that he has been up to from sold out concerts, a new liquor line, more money making ventures, and of course new music. Earlier this year, he celebrated a GRAMMY nomination for his 2024 “Party With Me” EP, and has decided to make up for lost time with new content. Earlier, he released the visual for, “Ignite The World“.

Directed by Rizzy for Now Or Never and shot in Miami, Vybz Kartel breathes new life into “Ignite The World” with an official Music Video. Originally released in 2014 and re-released in 2024 for his “Party With Me” EP, Vybz has the Women, the designer fashion, and Str8 Vybz Rum to celebrate good times, and bring back the energy for a track that quickly became a classic for fans.
