Oakland, California-based Recording Artist/Educator/Activist Ras Ceylon continues his mission of providing words of motivation, consciousness, and positivity through his various musical releases. He is regarded as the first Sri Lankan Hip Hop Artist to release an album, and for over 20 years has united the people from all walks of life with his content. The journey continues for him with the release of “Check Yourself“.
“Check Yourself” was produced by DJ Dixon and it features one of Reggae’s prominent names, Anthony B. Together, they seek to uplift the people, and send encouraging words of a healthy mind, body, and spirit. In a world that can corrupt the best of people, it is important to maintain good health to overcome what can bring you down. A creation by two longtime friends, this marks as their first release together, and is expected to make an impact this summer with its Afrotrap sounds permeating through speakers and social circles.
