Recording Artist Mortimer has made great moves in his career, and outside the studio. As a Creative, he takes his time with his craft, and makes songs that the world sings with joy. The hits are there, and his place in music is one to be respected. He has checked off a few milestones, but this one is extra special. Today, he presents his debut album, “From Within”.

Consisting of 14 tracks, Mortimer gives us some of his best work yet on his “From Within” debut. From love, to healing our mental wounds, to focusing on what really matters in life, he covers a lot on his debut, and listeners will quickly connect with his selections. The album was released through Overstand Entertainment/Easy Star Records who handled the production throughout, and boasts guest appearances by Kabaka Pyramid, Lila Ike, and Damian “Junior Gong” Marley. Reggae Artist Mortimer is gearing up to make the rest of 2024 an amazing time. With a solid catalogue, his music is just getting better as he delves into an artistry that makes him a standout. Recently, he announced the new album, “From Within“, and it promises to be his best release yet. Ahead of the album’s release, he released a number of singles, and now follows up with “Bruises“.

Co-Produced with Winta James for Overstand Entertainment, Mortimer enlists Kabaka Pyramid and Lila Ike to tackle serious issues on “Bruises”. The track speaks on the pain and suffering endured by Black people, the trauma that has been passed down through generations, and calls out those who try to justify the pain that was dished out. The three Artists share their unique voices and verses over some solid production, making the track one that will open door to more discussions about giving the victims their just due. September 20 looks to be a big day, and the anticipation for “From Within” has been growing. New music from a future legend.

Mortimer Delivers Another Hit For The Lovers With “Slowly”

No matter what’s going on in the world, Mortimer will step out with a love song. The Reggae Artist has been busy recording and performing in recent months, and even made appearances on records for other Artists. His “Lightning” single is still a song of choice for Weddings and celebrations of love, but for his new single “Slowly“, it will become a new addition to the soundtrack.

Produced by Winta James for Overstand Entertainment and released through Easy Star Records, Mortimer returns with a track that will bring the lovers out in “Slowly”. With his signature vocal delivery, the Singer shares lyrics about being the attentive partner who grants his lady’s wishes, she introducing him to a vibe like no other, placing him in a life filled with joy and love. Expect this one to be in heavy rotation leading up to Valentine’s Day, and become a permanent fixture after. Accompanying the new single is a brilliant video animated by one of Jamaica’s top Creatives, Ikem Smith. Mortimer doesn’t drop often, but when he does, it’s an event. This is for the lovers.
