Vybz Kartel Makes It About “God & Time” With 19th Album

Not many Artists can reach the level of “legend” in Jamaican music, but Dancehall Artist Vybz Kartel is one of those Artists who did. From achieving a cult-like following, to adding hits to his name for a couple decades, to becoming a name outside of music, not even Prison could hold him back. Now nearly two years since being free, he’s enjoying life, his family, his fans, and more success that has come his way. It wasn’t an easy journey, and like his new album, he left it to “God & Time“.

Featuring 14 tracks, Vybz Kartel is on another level with the release of his 19th album, “God & Time”. Kartel is still in top form here, showing an appreciation for where he is now, and what more he can achieve. His motivational tracks are present, but his signature girl tunes, and the music that highlights his status and rewarding lifestyle are included as well. TJ Records handles the production with a number of Composers, which include Zack Fostaty, Raphael Vivet, and Redboom Supamix. As for the features, Spice and Skillibeng show up, Vybz goes International with WizKid and Farruko, and he reunites with Shenseea and Mavado. Vybz Kartel is in a good space nowadays, and while he’s being a character thanks to his viral TikTok and Instagram content, it took God and time to get him here. Another level unlocked.

Recording Artist Runkus has been brewing up something good for a while, and he’s ready for the world to indulge in it. Known for his unorthodox wordplay and a flow that always stands out, and his consistency in song creating has resulted in people moving their feet, and getting their knowledge up. He takes his music to a higher level with the new “SUPERNOVA” album.

Featuring 13 tracks, Runkus aligns with Bahamian Conceptual Artist, Tavares Strachan for the new “SUPERNOVA” album. A follow up to the well-received “IN:SIDE” and “OUT:SIDE” albums, Runkus returns with more thought-provoking content, and extends his catalogue that has been lauded by many. Stratchan’s involvement in the album comes in the form of its cover titled, “A Map of the Crown (Fulani Red)“, which was inspired by Eve, the first Woman of creation.

Production on “SUPERNOVA” features production from the likes of Prodj, RiddimBoss, Chopstix, KaleX, A Guy Called Purple, and Runkus himself, while Sean Paul, and vocals from the late Peter Tosh grace a couple tracks. The Lyricist returns to his arena with something powerful.

Protoje is a hard worker, and that may be an understatement. For closer to two decades, he has been touring, performing, recording, and connecting with the world, and he’s still true to his role as an Artist. With a catalogue that’s revered globally, it’s a basically a holiday for the fans when he releases new content. With his new album, “The Art Of Acceptance“, it’s going to be a parade.

Consisting of 13 tracks, Protoje makes his 7th album a lucky one in, “The Art Of Acceptance”. The album finds him at his most creative, presenting a project that further cements his status as one of Jamaica’s greats. His lyricism continues to expand, and he shares not only his skillset, but knowledge for those who can pick them out. His sound continues to grow with this album, and his travels definitely brought inspiration. Production on “TAOA” includes the likes of Winta James, Ziah, Manu Digital, and Universvl, for his 7th body of work, he calls up Masicka, Shenseea, Jesse Royal, Stephen Marley, Pressure BussPipe, and Damian “Junior Gong” Marley, a collaboration that many hoped for since album one. “Womens History Month” highlighted the many Women who have taken the first step to their greatness, and like History, it continues to happen. Sharon Marley has been a part of History carrying on the Marley name with her family, but wants to make significant contributions outside of that. Music has always been in her blood, and age is just a number when it comes to being creative. She did the Reggae Band, she went Platinum (she was one of the first Jamaican Women to do so), she has GRAMMY awards, but now she wants to continue her solo pursuits with her debut album, “Firebird“.

Featuring 11 tracks, Sharon Marley makes her “Firebird” debut a shining moment. Released through her Gong Gyal Entertainment label, Marley presents a collection of some of her best work, showcasing decades of dedication, and tapping into new generations of sound while honouring those before her. She created her own fire here, and the tracklist consists of songs about love in various forms, self-reflection, liberation, and motivation. Production on “Firebird” taps into Jazz, Reggae, and R&B sounds, and includes the likes of Leroy Romans, her son Ingemar Prendergast, and Nicko Rebel while her sister Cedella, her son Biggz General, the legendary Big Youth, NVT3L, and Rica Newell join in through guest appearances. Sharon Marley rose with a fire to make an impact, and her debut looks to be one that sets the tone for a stronger legacy.
