Tonight (August 29) is setting up to be another historic night for Dancehall Music. Tonight, Vybz Kartel returns to the Barclays Center in New York for another staging of “Reggaefest“. The Deejay sold out the center twice before, and many are looking forward to him dominating the stage this weekend with his peers. Ahead of the event, he decided to surprise us with the release of the new project, “Heart & Soul“.

Featuring 11 tracks, Vybz Kartel celebrates Dancehall, and over a year of freedom with the new album, “Heart & Soul”. Kartel gives the ladies something to enjoy here with something to remind you of his status and what he has been through, and more importantly, a new collection of music for the fans. Production on “Heart & Soul” was dealt through Greedy Lion and Vybz Kartel Muzik, while Ishawna is the sole feature here. The “World Boss” continues to make headlines and history, make sure to play this before you catch him live.

Fans will remember the days of “Street Vybz Rum” and its popularity, but the Deejay recently announced that he’s bringing back the liquor, but under a new name, “Str8 Vybz“. While it’s not officially out yet, he celebrates with the release of the new single, “White Rum (Special)“.

Released through Vybz Kartel Muzik, Vybz Kartel is in a drinking mood, and he invites you to get your cups up in “White Rum (Special)”. The new track gives fans a feeling of nostalgia, as he previously had hits that focused on liquor. If you like your drink straight or with a chaser, it’s all good in the party, as long as you’re having a good time. With the return of “Street Vybz Rum” (now named “Str8 Vybz”), there will be lots of toasting, sipping, and vibing come this holiday season. Remember to drink responsibly.

With a highly-anticipated Concert on the way, it’s only right he gets back into the music making groove without being confined to a cell under watch by wardens. Today, he premieres, “The Comet“.

Produced by Vybz Kartel Muzik, Vybz Kartel makes his official return with, “The Comet”. He steps out with bold statements, enjoying the success he has amassed over the years, reflected on moments behind bars, throws shots as those who didn’t want to see his freedom, and shared that he is back to take over the place. The accompanying Music Video, which was directed by CVE, highlights the day he stepped out of Prison, sees him cruising the streets with his Lady Sidem, showing off a few of his accomplishments, and capturing his presence as the “World Boss” throughout. The new era of Vybz Kartel is here, and he’s ready for more.

Produced by Vybz Kartel Muzik, Kartel has a few words for those who love to snoop in other people’s business. For those who enjoy spreading news and being a tattletale, it won’t end well for them. Kartel melodically delivers in this one, and shares the phrase “Walk and live, talk and dead” as a warning. In a society where there are platforms who thrive off of other people’s business, “Mind Your Own Business” may just encourage some to keep things to themselves, or maybe not. Kartel still rules with songs for the Women, party tunes, and the occasional gun lyrics, but when he gets into some consciousness, it’s a different experience. He taps into that side with the single, “It Hard“.

On a beat produced by his son Aiko Pon Di Beat, Vybz Kartel wants better for the ghetto yutes, and those who are living in the struggle. Life can be rough and times are hard, but it will get better somehow. Vybz gets melodic on this one, and he takes on the roles of a comforter, and motivator. He shares what many are experiencing, and he can relate to it because he has been there. Still connecting with the people behind bars, here’s to more music from him.

Consisting of 5 tracks, the EP was released through Short Boss Muzik, which is owned by Vybz Kartel’s partner, Tanesha “Shorty” Johnson. The EP features new music from Vybz, but he boasts features with his sons Likkle Addi and Likkle Vybz, his cousin Sikka Rymes, and popular Dancer/Recording Artist Renee 6:30. It’s 2021, and Vybz Kartel has to make sure he’s a part of it. Who can be mad at new music from the “World Boss“?
