Vybz Kartel Makes It About “God & Time” With 19th Album

Not many Artists can reach the level of “legend” in Jamaican music, but Dancehall Artist Vybz Kartel is one of those Artists who did. From achieving a cult-like following, to adding hits to his name for a couple decades, to becoming a name outside of music, not even Prison could hold him back. Now nearly two years since being free, he’s enjoying life, his family, his fans, and more success that has come his way. It wasn’t an easy journey, and like his new album, he left it to “God & Time“.

Featuring 14 tracks, Vybz Kartel is on another level with the release of his 19th album, “God & Time”. Kartel is still in top form here, showing an appreciation for where he is now, and what more he can achieve. His motivational tracks are present, but his signature girl tunes, and the music that highlights his status and rewarding lifestyle are included as well. TJ Records handles the production with a number of Composers, which include Zack Fostaty, Raphael Vivet, and Redboom Supamix. As for the features, Spice and Skillibeng show up, Vybz goes International with WizKid and Farruko, and he reunites with Shenseea and Mavado. Vybz Kartel is in a good space nowadays, and while he’s being a character thanks to his viral TikTok and Instagram content, it took God and time to get him here. Another level unlocked.

From sold out shows, to the wealth increasing. From Designer threads, to music streaming in the Millions, Dancehall Artist Vybz Kartel has been gaining since touching freedom street. 2026 has  not seen him fall back, and we doubt that’s happening any time soon. All through the year, he’s bringing the “Onslaught“.

Released through Vybz Kartel Muzik and over Central Cee & JHus’ “Slaughter” Instrumental, the Vybz Kartel reflects on his wins, his milestones, and his continued elevation in the new single, “Onslaught”. For every “Mhmm” heard, he shares a win, and not many are at his level currently. The single comes after the announcement that Kartel will join Mavado at Reggae Sumfest 2026 for one night only for “Gaza vs Gully“. The announcement was needed as it was previously shared that the two will go on a “Gaza/Gully” tour starting in Malta, and it left Jamaicans upset as we all believed this tour should start at home. In some of our lifetime, we’ve witnessed the elevation of Vybz Kartel and Mavado, their feud, their reconciliation, and now their new partnership for a tour. Vybz Kartel Rings In The Holidays With “XMas Buddy” Single

December is the last month of the year, but to many people, that means Christmas is here. Starting November (sometimes October), we’d see decorations being laid out, and some are heading to the stores to lock down Christmas presents. In Jamaica, there was a time where a number of Artists would come out with Christmas-themed music, with Dancehall Artist Vybz Kartel being one of the go-to Artists. Seeing an absence due to him being incarcerated for a number of years, he returns with holiday cheer for the ladies in the form of the new single, “XMas Buddy“.

Produced by Greedy Lion, Vybz Kartel has a present for the ladies called, “XMas Buddy”. Listeners are taken back to the 2010s when the “World Boss” would have a song for every occasion, with Christmas being heavily anticipated. The Deejay remixes “Little Drummer Boy” to spew a few raunchy lyrics, ensuring the ladies get filled with joy, and holiday cheer lights up their faces. “World Boss” fans are eating today as Vybz Kartel has found himself on another Remix. Earlier we shared the “New Gears (Remix)” with Skillibeng, and now he’s in Ghana with his Ghanaian counterpart, Shatta Wale. Together, they release the “Street Crown (Remix)“.

Produced by Shatta Movement Records, Vybz Kartel and Shatta Wale adjust their crowns, and dominate on the “Street Crown (Remix)”. While they have collaborated previously, this is their first collaboration since Vybz has been released from Prison. They provide motivation here, and further seal their unity while complimenting their respective styles. Ghana is awaiting the “World Boss” as there has been talk of him being there by the end of the year. Two Kings with their respective movements, continuing to run things. Believe in yourself.

A few months ago, Dancehall Artist Skillibeng had the world locked in with the release of, “New Gears“. Since then, there have been talks of other Artists, namely Vybz Kartel, joining in on a possible remix. After a few previews, the “New Gears (Remix)” is finally official!

Produced by Madenka and Endo, Skillibeng calls up the “World Boss” Vybz Kartel for the official remix to “New Gears”. Kartel is given the floor to declare that he’s doing the damn thing as a free Man, with ambitions of more prosperity from here on. Skilli also delivers some fresh lyrics here, as it’s only right that the King and the Prince combine their powers to give the already-popular original track more life with a remix. What a way to start the Friday.
