It’s that time of year again where not even Covid can stop. It’s Christmas time! We’re back to give you some Christmas classic on Oldies Sunday! In recognition of the season, we’re highlighting a few songs for the month of December. For today’s selection, we head over to Haiti to hear Rodrigue Toussaint et le Bossa Combo’s “Noël“!
Featuring Guitarist Rodrigue Toussaint performing with the Bossa Combo band, “Noël” was released sometime in the 1980s (A performance of “Noël” was recorded in 1989), and it features some amazing horns, percussion, strings, and vocals that definitely make a joyful noise during the holiday season. “Noël” was featured on Rodrigue Toussaint et le Bossa Combo’s “Haiti” album that was released to digital music streaming platforms in 2014 through Delta Records.
