Anyone familiar with the TV Show “All Rise“? It’s a Legal Drama that revolves around the personal lives of judges, prosecutors, and public defenders in a Los Angeles courthouse. The series is in its 3rd season on the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN), and for its latest episode (Episode 6 “I’ll Be There”), a classic Reggae song was featured.
In the closing of episode 6 of “All Rise”, Bob Marley & The Wailers’ classic, “Redemption Song” was featured. Released in 1980, “Redemption Song” is considered one of Bob Marley’s greatest works, and one of his most influential. The track was featured on the “Uprising” album, the 12th Bob Marley & the Wailers release, and was used during protests for Apartheid in South and South West Africa, used in tribute to the 9/11 attacks in 2001, and was covered by the likes of Stevie Wonder, U2, John Legend, and Wyclef Jean, and we featured Singer Shav-A covering it recently.
“All Rise” is now available for watching on OWN, Hulu, and HBO Max.
