How was your 2025? Was it filled with uplifting moments? Or did you experience plenty of stress? The good news is, we made it to 2026, and we have more opportunities to do some great things. Today, we do a quick reflection of the year where music is concerned. Many Artists enjoyed high moments, and earned viral success. Today, we look at “5 Songs That Went Viral In 2025“.
1. Masicka – Mute (Prod. by Atto & Din Din)
The 2020s has been good to Dancehall Artist Masicka. With two albums in, he has been building his way up to becoming Dancehall royalty. “Mute” found him at the top of his game, and his delivery showcased him being very secure. Social Media loved “Mute”, and kept it running all year through posts, giving it a lot of viral love. Lock di business with a suit indeed.
2. Ayetian Ft. Govana – Wah Yuh Deh Pon (Prod. by Nvtzz)
He waves two flags (Haiti and Jamaica), but Ayetian went global in 2025. While the previous year gave him breakout moments, “Wah Yuh Deh Pon” kept ringing in the ears of Dancehall lovers around the world. Whether you got hooked on the “Ram Putu nuh nyam Putu…” line on TikTok or you were glued to the music video, the Govana-featured single is in the top list of Ayetian’s growing catalogue.
3. Moliy – Shake It To The Max (Remix) ft. Skillibeng & Shenseea (Prod. by Silent Addy)
Ghanaian-American Recording Artist Moliy started a flicker in late 2024 with “Shake It To The Max“, but 2025 found it growing into a wildfire. She toured parts of the world to promote the single, but when she touched Jamaica, she had to link up with Skillibeng and Shenseea for “Shake It To The Max (Remix)“. Skilli’s “Bad man she love…” line and Shenseea’s verse enjoyed a lot of love online, and Moliy’s global reach increased tremendously. If you were on TikTok, this song was nothing short of viral. Moliy looks to follow up with another wildfire this year, but we can’t forget about the impact of “Shake It To The Max (Remix)”.
4. Skillibeng x Vybz Kartel – New Gears (Remix) (Prod by Madenka & Endo)
2025 found Dancehall Artist Skillibeng enjoying the International stage. He was collecting International features, and taking on stages around the world. Another Artist was enjoying the same type of things as well, along with his newfound freedom, and that was Vybz Kartel. Together, the two joined forces for “New Gears (Remix)“. While Skilli released an original version months prior to raving reviews, Kartel stepped up like he was 20 years younger. With bars that spoke about life as a free man and his status as a Dancehall King, “New Gears (Remix)” enjoyed a viral push thanks to Kartel’s opening line. If you never heard this collab, you were fast asleep somewhere.
5. Elephant Man – Pretty Baby (Prod. by Gate Citizens)
2025 marked Elephant Man’s 30 years in music, and the year found him still at his best. Whether taking over stages like The Barclays Center, or his classics going up in the streams, he is a real column in Dancehall. Getting viral love is nothing new to him, and his take on Connie Francis’ “Pretty Little Baby” titled “Pretty Baby” took him everywhere. With lyrics that had Women blushing, the “Energy God” ensured that the ladies kept this one spinning, and his fans repeating the lyrics. “Pretty Baby” was a hit locally, Internationally, and online, and you couldn’t get away from hearing it. Shall we do it by the flowers?
