Afrobeats sensation Crayon has been busy securing new fans, new money, and creating songs that connect with many around the world. The Nigerian Artist has been enjoyig a great year thanks a to a couple releases, and is grateful for everything. To emphasize on that, he released the visual for the track, “Modupe“.

Directed by Daniel David, Crayon displays gratitude in the visual for “Modupe”. With one life to live, he is all about making positive improvements, and welcoming all the blessings that will come his way. “Modupe” in Yoruba means “I am grateful“. The video is shot in a Church, and with an accompanying Choir, Crayon performs his new single. The Afrobeats movement continues to cover more ground globally, and with a number of Artists breaking out, we expect to see new genre-crossing collaborations in the coming months. Dancehall-Pop Recording Artist Toian has been on the grind. Been a while since we featured her, but she has been putting the work behind the scenes. Based in Miami, she secured a number of collaborations, and released a project or two. Remember her “Ice Queen” collab with Vybz Kartel? “Ride The Wave“? What about “Rude Boys“? Her name has been called up recently in what you could call one of her biggest career moves, and that’s making the connection with SuperProducer Metro Boomin, and the highly anticipated “Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse” Film.

Teaming up with WizKid, Beam, Don Toliver, and Metro Boomin, Toian jumped on the “Spider-Verse Remix” of “Link Up“. With a mix of Pop, Afrobeats, and Red Rat’s “Tight Up Skirt” sample, Toian’s here for the link up, but don’t catch no feelings. She fits well with her collaborators, bringing her sweet vocals, making for a nice addition to the featured production. Red Rat’s “Tight Up Skirt” was released in 1997 and produced by Buccaneer on the Opera House label, and was famously sampled by Samantha J. Expect a lot more from Toian in the future, maybe she’ll pop up on more collabs with your favourite Artists, or even have more of her music featured in Films. Congrats to the big Singer!

Nigerian hitmaker Adekule Gold is gearing up to release his first full length project as one of the newest signees of the legendary Def Jam Records later this year. Before that however, he’s warming things up with the recent release of his “Tio Tequila” EP. Earlier today, he added a lil more heat with the visual for one of the EP’s tracks, “Do You Mind?“.

Directed by MOM, Adekunle Gold finds himself at a small Nightclub where he takes the stage in a flashy way, and getting cozy with a lovely lady at the bar. Gold is smooth with the vibes on “Do You Mind?”, and it’s expected to do a lot of damage this summer at a party near you. “Do You Mind?” was produced by Kel-P, and featured on the 3 track “Tio Tequila” EP that will set the tone for Gold’s Def Jam debut, and his first project since “Catch Me If You Can” from 2022. Tune in for some great vibes.

Nigeria and US based Disc Jockey DJ Tunez is enjoying his wins, and celebrating them every chance he gets. When he’s not taking over the world with WizKid, he’s recruiting big names for various collaborations. He has a successful life, but will always remember to give thanks for it. He emphasizes on that in the visual for the track, “Blessings“.

Featuring WizKid, Gimba, and a special appearance by Wande Coal, DJ Tunez shares on “Blessings” that anything is possible when the Creator’s in control. The DK-directed visual sprinkles a bit of the fruits that have resulted from the hard work of the Artists, and they’re living it up with a few of their peers in a Mansion.
