Since March 2025, we premiered a new weekly Playlist called, “What’s On 13th Street?“. Since then, we have featured over 700 new songs from Artists in and outside the Caribbean. Capleton is a Man who doesn’t ask for much, just righteousness, equal justice for all, and blaze some fire on corruption. Nothing too crazy. His music continues to make dents in the culture, and get the people pumped up for the message he delivers. While he gets aggressive in his music, we advise not to get him riled up outside of that. Things won’t be pretty if that happens, and he’ll “Start It Up“.

Produced by Deki Records, Capleton is ready to handle any confrontation in, “Start It Up”. The “Fire Man” is locked and loaded, and if he’s not handling matters personally, his people will come through with force. Aside from the new single, Capleton is gearing up to release a new album in over a decade this month called, “Heights Of Fire“. The stage continues to call him, and you can expect him in more places this summer. Don’t get the “Fire Man” on his wrong side today.

The “Fire Man” Capleton continues to take on the world, and deliver the music that the people need to hear. For close to 4 decades, he has blazed the fire, upheld the Rastafari order, and his following continues to grow and support. One of his first hits was “Tour“, and he’s still touring. Check him out in, “Flying“.

Directed by Deki Creation, Capleton takes flight and commands stages in the visual for, “Flying”. Still possessing the energy to move crowds, we see a few highlights of his live performances in between traveling and connecting with his people, and shows that even though he is older, he’s still very active. “Flying” was produced by Ikeed/Deki Records on the “Warm Up Di Place Riddim” and released last Summer, but it’s good to see content being pushed out for it. If you haven’t seen Capleton in Jamaica, be sure to catch him overseas onstage blazing the fire!

Luciano, Bushman, Capleton & More Celebrate “Garnet Silk Legacy” In Mandeville

On April 26, Mandeville was treated to something special from one of its greatest musical exports. The late Garnet Silk became a legend in a few years in Jamaica, and his early passing left behind a catalogue that exalted him to great levels. Aforementioned date was set for the first staging of the “Garnet Silk Legacy Day” event. Comprised of a fun day for the family and a night Concert held at Brooks Park, a former stomping ground for Silk, Mandeville and its surrounding areas were tuned in to the music of Silk, united in the name of community, and had a great time.

Put together by Lovey Silk (Garnet Silk’s spouse), the Smith family, and The Garnet Silk Foundation, the event was one to experience, and for those who weren’t fully familiar with Garnet Silk and his work, were given a lesson that thanks to his catalogue being selected by the legendary Ricky Trooper, and tributes by a number of Artists. Speaking of Artists, the night concert featured performances by friends, family, and those inspired by Silk including Aaron Silk (Garnet Silk’s brother), Anthony Cruz (Nephew), Garnet Jr. (Son), Luciano, Capleton, Bushman, Bongo Herman, Nature Ellis, Bugle, Droop Lion, and many more. For those who weren’t able to attend nor tuned in to our TikTok Live Broadcast, check out highlights of the event below, and look forward to its 2nd staging next year. The album dabbles in Social Commentary, love, Rastafari, provides motivation for the listener going through their hardships. It’s crazy out here. The cost of living has been on a rapid increase, and it is getting hard for everyone to get by. Just when you thought basic necessities have gotten affordable for all, Inflation steps in like a movie Villain. The legendary Capleton has been listening to the people’s cries, and he has been experiencing a hit in his part of the world. He’s on mission however, to push for change in, “Gone Up“.

Produced by Control Tower Squad, Capleton is on the hunt, and is sharing some powerful messages in “Gone Up”. He shares some social commentary, and is blazing his fire on those who have chosen to practice things that don’t sit right with what is righteous. The Swag TV Filmz-directed Music Video finds him taking it to the streets, and he’s connecting with the people as they experience hardships in different forms. The “Fireman” won’t let up, and he believes that the people in power should do the right thing so that the citizens can live better. Capleton with a message.
