The Summer comes with a lot of vibes, good times, and energy, and BVI/Atlanta-based Recording Artist Monéa has been providing that long before. Thanks to her selection of musical releases, she has been busy getting people to dance, enjoy life, and using her Girl Power to take things to new levels. The time for a new project was upon her, and she answered the call with the release of the new album, “Mood Swings“.

Featuring 15 tracks, Monéa gives the world a presentation of who she is as a person, and as an Artist with the release of, “Mood Swings”. Monéa brings the party vibes with the new album, leans into Pop, Hip Hop, Afrobeats, and Dancehall sounds, but also taps into relatable situations when it comes to relationships, and gives the ladies a dose of energy throughout the project. The Caribbean Popstar enlisted the likes of Yarico Beats, Guchydon Beats, Pincho Beats, Nova Elite Audio, Travy Dawg, and Ayo Rodey for the album’s production, while she called up Zerimar, Theron Theron, Skillies, and Safa Gaw for guest features. Summer 2025 has been welcoming a barrage of new music from Caribbean Artists, and Monéa joins the list to take the vibes to more parts of the world.

Atlanta’s Jamaican Museum To Launch “Buy A Brick” Campaign For Cultural Legacy Building

Jamaica is global, and culture is for the people. Despite the Immigration numbers and how different life is overseas, there are those who try to maintain a solid connection with home through a manner of ways. With that said, there have been many individuals and organizations that try to educate, and preserve Jamaica for those who miss home, or have joined into the Jamaican circle through friendships or partnerships. In Atlanta, Georgia, the Jamaican Museum And Cultural Center has been active in sharing the culture, and all things Jamaica. With their latest Initiative “Buy A Brick“, they look to make something more permanent, and build a legacy.

On August 16, the Jamaican Museum And Cultural Center will officially launch their “Buy A Brick” campaign in Atlanta, Georgia. The Initiative will raise funds to assist in building a permanent landmark and cultural space to house and preserve aspects of Jamaican culture, heritage, and pride, with the aim to grow in membership, and legacy-building. With an event held at the APAP Media Group Office in the Stone Mountain area, and online on APAP’s official live stream, participants are invited to assist in sponsoring via purchasing a personalized, engraved brick that will be a part of the physical structure. Starting at 3PM, the event will host a series of live performances, and cultural presentations that will give the audience a taste of what the Museum has in store for the physical landmark.

“We invite everyone, whether you were born in Jamaica, have Jamaican roots, or simply love the culture to be part of this historic movement,” said Dr. Apollone Reid, President of the Jamaican Museum and Cultural Center of Atlanta. “This is more than a fundraiser, it’s a statement of pride, unity, and purpose.“

Earlier this year, South African Recording Artist Tyla released her self-titled debut album. The album featured a number of collaborations including one with Dancehall Artist Skillibeng and ATL Rapper Gunna on a track called, “Jump“, and it has been receiving a lot of love. As the track continues to do well on streaming, Tyla follows it up with the release of the official Music Video.

Directed by Nabil and shot in Jamaica and Johannesburg, South Africa, Tyla gives us plenty to see in her video for, “Jump”. Tyla shares the screen with a number of dancers, Men who seek her affection, fellow South Africans and parts of their culture and everyday life, and Rapper Gunna. Skillibeng was unable to be present so his parts were shot in Jamaica, and features a number of familiar faces. Tyla continues to take her name to new platforms, and many look forward to see what’s next from her. Here’s to more Skillibeng collaborations as well as he has been on fire internationally, and Gunna continues to rise despite a few low points in his life.

Internet sensations/Dancehall Artists 1SkiMask and Deno Crazy share a friendship that’s beyond the fame and the music. They both have made themselves big names, and have made much progress as Recording Artists. They have since taken their names to new markets, and have been securing new fans and opportunities. We get to see their progress in the video for their new collaboration titled, “Energy“.

Shot in Atlanta, Georgia and Queens, New York, 1SkiMask and Deno Crazy take on stages in the video for “Energy”. When it comes to music, it’s the best thing ever invented. When it comes to Jamaican music, everyday is a party. US-based Dancehall Artist Kdon looks to get the party started, but this one involves a different kind of party. He gears up for the release of the new single, “Wine & Kotch”.

Teaming up with Producer Great Scott, Kdon is calling all the ladies front and center with “Wine & Kotch”. Packed with sensual lyrics over solid production, the track encourages fun times, and good vibes all around. Kdon encourages the ladies to be at their best for an enjoyable experience, and the track promises to gain traction and raise temperatures in time for the summer party season, and become one of the year’s Dancehall hits. Kdon and Great Scott have been working together for a number of years, and have released a collection of singles together that have gained some popularity on various music streaming platforms.
