Protoje is at it again. For over a decade, the Artist has been providing music that connects with the listener in various ways, and has built a movement that has been growing rapidly around the world. Fresh off of his massive staging of the “Lost In Time Festival“, Protoje releases, “Legend Legend“.

Produced by The FaNaTiX, Protoje solidifies his position as an Icon in “Legend Legend”. The track is a testament of the impact he has had in his music career, and we are aware of the work it took to get there. The song also recognizes another legend, Bob Marley. Even after his death in 1981, Marley is a global Icon, and the recent release of the “Bob Marley: One Love” Film is evidence that the Gong is generational. Fun Fact: Protoje name dropped Bob Marley albums throughout “Legend Legend”. Accompanying the single, is a Music Video directed by Samo, and it finds Protoje in his element, and shares highlights of what happened at the 2023 staging of the “Lost In Time Festival”. Bob Marley and his music will always have an impact that spans generations. Thanks to the fans, there will be stories, and thanks to his family, his legacy will be carried on. Reggae Month earned a boost thanks to the release of the highly-anticipated “Bob Marley: One Love” Film, and there are people who are not only getting familiar with the legend, but are getting familiar with his family. Rohan Marley is one of his father’s ambassadors, and recently he had a conversation on the popular “Drink Champs” Podcast.

Hosted by Rapper Noreaga and DJ EFN, Rohan Marley joined the “Drink Champs” table to have a few conversations. Over a few drinks and their favourite herbs, Rohan shared the impact and legacy of his father Bob Marley, growing up with his dad, the Rastafarian faith, his endeavours as a Businessman, family life, and much more. The Marley children and grandchildren have represented in various ways, and have enjoyed success individually. Alexx A-Game To Make Acting Debut In @OneLoveMovie

Last year, we highlighted that come 2024, an official Biopic on the life of the late Reggae legend Bob Marley will be released. Titled “Bob Marley: One Love”, we shared that a number of prominent names in Jamaican music will make their acting debuts as key characters. One name, who will also play a key character, wasn’t announced until recently. His name is Alex Gallimore, but the music scene knows him as Alexx A-Game.

Alexx A-Game will make his acting debut in the long-awaited “Bob Marley: One Love” Film. Playing the role of the legendary Peter Tosh, A-Game knows that his role is very important as the late Tosh was a founding member of The Wailers along with Marley and the late Bunny Wailer, and an iconic figure in Reggae Music. “I’m still searching for words to express the feeling,” shared an ecstatic A-Game in a recent Instagram post. “I’m more than honored to be a part of the telling of the legendary story of BOB MARLEY. It has been a life changing experience. Thanks to Avy Kaufman, Reinaldo Marcus-Green, Ziggy Marley, and Paramount Pictures and the rest of the team for trusting me with the role of an iconic and legendary figure such as ‘Peter Tosh’. I got a chance to work with some of the most amazing people in Film/Production who are now family.“

Alexx A-Game, a former member of the Blu Print Band, has been an active as a solo Artist since the early 2010s, releasing a number of singles including “A-Game Everyday“, “Double” featuring Tory Lanez, “Rise Up Now“, “Go Harder“, and a couple Mixtapes including “Real ‘N’ True Vol. 1“. An Artist and Producer under his New Level Music Group label, he looks to release a number of singles this year including “More Life” on January 19, and increase his presence as a Creative. Fans and newcomers can look forward to A-Game’s Film debut when “Bob Marley: One Love” hits Theatres on February 14.

It has been suggested for years and many claimed that they will take on the roles of directing and acting, but a Bob Marley Biopic is finally here! Come 2024, we will get to watch “Bob Marley: One Love“.

Under the direction of Reinaldo Marcus Green and Ziggy Marley the Producer, and the blessing from the Marley family, we get a Biopic that has been years in the making. The Film will cover the rise of the Bob Marley, including his assassination attempt that lead to the legendary “One Love Peace Concert“. British Actors Kingsley Ben-Adir and Lashana Lynch will play Bob and Rita Marley respectively, while Hector “Roots” Lewis, Naomi Cowan, Sevana, Sheldon Shepherd, Annalise McClure, Cornelius Grant, and Aston Barrett Jr. are just some of the names who play vital roles in the new Film. It’s safe to say this will be one of the greatest Biopics ever, and we can’t wait to see it in 2024. “Bob Marley: One Love” will be released through Paramount Pictures. Bob Marley’s legacy continues.

The power of Reggae Music will not die, it will multiply. From the street corner to the TV screens, it is everywhere. Recently, American Electronic Security company ADT Inc. launched their latest “No Worries” campaign. Aimed at providing the best security for Residential and Business consumers, they seek to take the #1 spot in that field. In their new series of Commercials, a familiar Reggae classic was heard.

Onboard as the soundtrack for ADT’s new “No Worries” campaign is Bob Marley’s “Three Little Birds“. Produced by Bob Marley And The Wailers and released in 1980, the track was featured on classic “Exodus” album, and still remains a favourite for many worldwide. It was previously covered by Maroon 5 for a Hyundai campaign, it was the theme for Dutch Football Club Ajax’s 2021/2022 third kit, used as inspiration for Bob’s daughter Cedella Marley’s “Every Little Thing” children’s book, and was covered by Bob’s grandson Skip Marley for the “School Of Rock” Music Education program. ADT wants customers to know that complete safety is their aim, and there should be no worries. Everything’s gonna be alright.

Yesterday, Entertainment giant Marvel unveiled the latest phase of their “Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU)“. With plenty films and tv shows on the way, fans were looking forward to consume even more stories from their favourite Comics. The rollout included the announcement of the sequel to the popular “Black Panther” film called, “Wakanda Forever“. Announced in the form of a teaser, a familiar song was featured in its soundtrack.

For those familiar with Reggae (who wouldn’t at this point?), the lyrics from Bob Marley’s classic, “No Woman No Cry” was heard in the teaser for “Wakanda Forever”. Instead of Bob’s version, a cover by Nigerian star Tems was put in place. Throughout the over 2 minute teaser, Tems’ cover was played before being mixed into Rapper Kendrick Lamar’s “Alright” single. “No Woman No Cry” was written by Bob Marley and Vincent Ford, produced by Chris Blackwell and The Wailers, and was featured on Marley’s 1974 album, “Natty Dread” with The Wailers. A live version of the single was released in 1975, and is considered one of the greatest songs ever made. The track was covered by many including The Fugees, Wizkid, Jimmy Cliff, and Sean Kingston.

“Black Panther” was released in 2018, and starred Chadwick Boseman, and Lupita Nyong’o among others. Boseman was set to reprise his role as the African superhero in the sequel, but passed away in 2020 after a long battle with Colon Cancer. “Black Pather: Wakanda Forever” will be released on October 11, 2022.
