2024 looks to be a year of big hits, and Producers Minto Play Da Riddim and Warrior want to be a part of it all. The Producers made great strides last year in their respective fields with Minto officially tapping into the Afrobeats scene, and Warrior bringing his WMG Sound to more people locally, and internationally. They have teamed up a number of times over the years, resulting in a number of hits. Their recent team up included International Dancehall Artist Charly Black, who had a great 2023 that consisted of standout international performances and fiery singles. Together, they present their new single “Oxtail (Extra Gravy)”, and are confident that it will be one of this year’s top bangers.

“Oxtail (Extra Gravy)” is the latest single for the ladies brought to you by Minto Play Da Riddim, Warrior, and Charly Black. Powered by an Afrobeats sound and Dancehall vibes, the track looks to connect with the ladies in a major way, making for a hit that will take over the clubs, spark dance and social media challenges, and rattle speakers around the world. The theme of love is present on the track as Black enjoys the love of his lady “like Oxtail with extra gravy”, a play on the ways many couples profess their love for one another. As a part of the roll out, the track was exclusively premiered at an event in Trinidad recently, and was well-received immediately. With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, today’s Oldies Sunday selection will have a lil love in it. For the lovers, today’s post comes from Reggae Crooner Leroy Gibbons with the track, “Four Season Lover“.

Produced by King Jammy’s and arranged by Steelie and Clevie with its release through Jammy’s Records in 1987, Leroy Gibbons declares his the lover for all times on “Four Season Lover”. With his powerful delivery, he urges his lover to never give her love away, as he will be there for her in every way. When the times are cold, he’s there to warm her up, when she’s hot, he will cool her down. “Four Season Lover” was featured on the popular “Fresh Riddim“, was an instant hit in Jamaica and throughout parts of the world, and was later included in Gibbons’ 1988 album of the same name.

Since the release of “Four Season Lover”, Leroy Gibbons continued to enjoy an established music career over the years. He still performs to this day, and “Four Season Lover” is still a highly requested song to play. Shout out the lovers for all seasons.

Co-directed by Ghost and Rayebann Entertainment, Ghost and Bounty share some motivating lyrics in “Despite It All”.
