For a number of years, Jamaican-born/LA-based Producer Dale Virgo has provided the sound for many of your favourite Artists. Under his DZL Records, he has produced hits for the likes of Christopher Martin, Ce’Cile, Chronixx, and many others. Having taken his talents to the US in recent time, he has been experimenting with new sounds, and for his latest release, “Sunset Blvd“, he looks to capture the high energy crowd.

Dale Virgo leans into the EDM/House Music sound for his latest release, “Sunset Blvd”. Armed with Bass, Synths, Sonics, and great energy, Virgo is ready for the ravers, the party goers, and those who live life to the fullest with this new Instrumental. Inspired by living in the Los Angeles area, he has witnessed all walk of life, and looked to bring the energy from that to his production. He was also encouraged by fellow Producer/DJ Sizzle Hop to test his waters in new sounds, and the move looks to be a very fruitful one for him. Family is very important to Virgo, and while he knows his way around the boards, his Son Zayn, and Daughter Zahara had input on the production, and share co-production credits. We expect the Streamers to love this one, the Ravers worldwide to groove to this, and the world to open even more doors for Virgo to pursue even more.

Reggae trio Blaze Mob has been on the scene for a number of years delivering music that connects with the Rastafarian faith, encourages upliftment of the people, and promotes unity. Consisting of Shaka Rock, Gyasi Gong, and King Saeed, who are sons of the late legendary Reggae Artist and Black Uhuru member Garth Dennis, the band aims to make music that transcends generations like others before them. Recently, they shared their new single, “Rastafari Children“.

Produced by Dale Virgo and released through DZL Records/Tuff Gong, Blaze Mob step in with a bold sound on “Rastafari Children”. The track is a celebration of the Rastafarian faith and culture, and it’s a call for us all the hail H.I.M., burn out all agents and forces of negativity, and we come together as one people for the betterment of the world. Over some retro-inspired production that’s paired with some solid delivery from the Artists, the new single is expected to become an infectious one that will connect with the people around the world, and have them be more in tune with Haile Selassie I. Blaze Mob have been enjoying chart placement for the track since its release, and they have plans to take it on the road through a series of live shows. They are also getting to work on a new album that will possibly see the light of day come next year. Rise up to this one.

On July 2, the Jamaican music scene received news of the passing of Dancehall Artist, Starr Dane. The Deejay was on the rise showing great promise with his releases over the years, but his life was tragically taken in Los Angeles, California. A member of the Dale Virgo-founded DZL Records, he shared his skillset with many Artists, and always promoted positivity in his conversations. In order to preserve his memory, it is encouraged for listeners to get familiar with his previously-released work, and now his latest single, “Wha Gwaan“.

Produced by Dale Virgo, “Wha Gwaan” is Starr Dane’s final recorded track. The track delves into some Social Commentary as Dane questions the Island’s rising crime rate, the corruption, the deception by those in power, and the imbalance in the way of life for the citizens. Dane asks the right questions here, and the track looks to inspire others to ask the same questions, with more action into getting the answers and fixing things. The late Deejay’s final entry should not go by the wayside, and should encourage positive change for not only Jamaica, but for the rest of the world where the issues also reside. Recently, US-based Actress/Model/Recording Artist Reese Antoinette linked up with Dale Virgo and DZL Records for the single “What Is Love“. The single has been receiving positive feedback, and it was announced later that a special remix would follow up. Today is the day for the “What Is Love (Afro Remix)“.

With Dale Virgo once again at the helm, Reese Antoinette’s “What Is Love” gets a special makeover. Paired with Afro sounds, listeners will once again take flight to the destinations mentioned, with their favourite person by their side. Dale Virgo has been busy on the Production side lately, and we expect to hear a lot more from him in the coming weeks. Reese Antoinette looks to do even more this year as she will make appearances in the upcoming Apple TV+ series “Bad Monkey“, and is gearing up for the premiere of the Film “Sam & Kiki” at ScreamFest in LA on October 15. Kingston-based DZL Records continues to keep its production line moving with a number of music releases over the past few months. Label founder Dale “Dizzle” Virgo keeps his ear to the street when it comes to securing the right talent for his beats, and at the end, listeners from around the world keep the music on heavy rotation. Nothing has changed since, but with Dancehall Artist Dupss on the scene, this summer’s going to be interested thanks to their collaboration called, “Every Gal“.
