Since March 2025, we premiered a new weekly Playlist called, “What’s On 13th Street?“. Since then, we have featured over 600 new songs from Artists in and outside the Caribbean. Some are your faves, others are legends in the game, and some newcomers. All we ask of you is to show the Playlist some love through regular shares, follows, and your enjoyment.

This week for “What’s On 13th Street?“, we featured Moliy’s “PARTYGYAL” with bees & honey, Grenada’s own Terra D Governor’s “Korra Katara”, “Suriname Gyal” by Samora, Elephant Man’s “Falling In Love”, Mavado and Valiant’s “Big Blessing” collaboration, and Chris Malachi’s “Jeezam Peezam”.

Spicemas is on the way! The yearly Carnival event in Grenada is bound to bring out the most energetic people, and the season is looking to be one of the best yet. With Spicemas, it’s a time for unity, fun, good vibes, and sharing. For Recording Artist Terra D Governor, he got himself someone special for Spicemas, and it comes in the form of an animation fave. Check out, “Korra Katara“.

Produced by MadHead Productions, fans of the “Avatar: The Last Airbender” series will develop some jealousy because Terra D Governor got himself “Korra Katara”! For those familiar with the franchise but may be unfamiliar with the story, Korra Katara is the combination of two main characters, Korra in the spinoff series “The Legend Of Korra“, and Katara from the original “Avatar: The Last Airbender” series respectively. “The Legend Of Korra” featured the Protagonist learning and utilizing her Avatar powers to protect her city from spiritual and physical elements, while Katara played a supporting character in the original series, and made an appearance in the spinoff. In the video directed by Mafia.Image, Terra and his Katara (played by Choreographer/Carnival Ambassador Angie) venture through the Island and the various elements, and put on the moves. She can bend the elements, she can Jab Jab, and she is Korra. Ready for Spicemas?

This past Heroes’ Day Weekend may have been a hit for many partygoers, especially for the ladies. When the ladies hit the streets, just know that the vibes are gonna be great. For Grenadian star V’ghn, he knows how important the ladies are for the party experience, and he just wants to keep them going with, “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun“.

Produced by Travis World, it’s all about the mixed drinks, the bright lights, good music, and great times in V’ghn’s “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun”. The energetic track was featured on his recently-released “Point Of View” album, and has been getting some welcomed feedback. With a Visualizer directed by Titan VCD/NXUS Collective, we’re in the club with the ladies, as they’re seen partying it up, making moments, and enjoying life while V’ghn delivers his song, and enjoys the scenery. The Grenadian bad boy V’ghn has been blazing trails for a number of years, and he’s only getting better. With a renewed focus for the new year, he’s preparing to give the people hit after hit. It’s his season to shine, and he gets things going with the new single, “Bacchanal Lady“.

Teaming up with Producer Tano, V’ghn has his eyes on a dangerously sexy Woman in “Bacchanal Lady”. She has the looks, she oozes sexiness, and she’s scandalous, but if you treat her right, she’ll be all yours. V’ghn pelts out melodies and lyrics over some solid production as he thinks about the waistline of this desirable Woman. The track has the right ingredients for a hit, and we can expect this one to make some noise all 2025. The accompanying Visualizer finds the Singer mesmerized by her throughout, and this is just the beginning of some fun times to come. This goes out to all the sexy ladies!

Christmas time is upon us yet again, and we look forward to what’s in store. As usual, we have to put you on to some holiday music, and on “Oldies Sunday“, have some classics. Today’s selection comes from the Island of Grenada. We feature Recording Artist Ajamu’s track, “Ah Want A Little Something“.

Produced by Edson Mitchell a.k.a. Ajamu and released through Charlie’s Records in 2001, Ajamu gave the people another in his line of Christmas music with, “Ah Want A Little Something”. The song finds him making a couple requests for his fans. He has been known to deliver a song for the holidays yearly, and while he does it for the people, he’d love for them to give back to him for the season. He delivers musical gifts, but wishes for a gift or few himself. He kindly asks throughout the song, and hopes it won’t cause any problems after. “Ah Want A Little Something” was featured on his 2001 album, “Christmas Soca Parang“, and is one of his signature Parang hits.

Get Ready To Jab Jab With Temptress’ “Crocus Bag”

SpiceMas is in the air, and the people are ready to revel in it. Grenada has always been a powerhouse for some great music, and when it comes to Carnival, they do not disappoint. Enter Temptress, the 2023 Grenada Road March winner and the Queen of Jab Jab, and she’s ready to take on the road with the video for the single, “Crocus Bag“.

Directed by Man Of Viizion and shot in La Fillette, St. Andrew, one of the hotspots for Grenadian Jab Jab culture, Temptress and her crew are blacked out, horned up, and are ready to put everything in the bag in the visual for “Crocus Bag”. Temptress brings the energy here, and makes for one of the tunes for SpiceMas 2024 that will get everyone pumped up. “Crocus Bag” was produced by Jambalasee Grenada Muzik on the “Coals Dust Riddim“. For those unfamiliar, the Jab Jab culture is a celebration of freedom from hardships that’s unique to the Island of Grenada, and dates back to the days of slavery as slaves rebelled against the Carnival celebrations by the whites and plantation owners. “Jab Jab” is French Creole for “devil“, and the costumes/make up of black oil/molasses/black paint worn depict an interpretation of the Devil, and is not to be confused with the worship of such (and we know how people are…). Get ready to put everything in the Crocus Bag when you hit the road.
