Meanwhile – 13th Street Promotions

While this track scorched many playlists, melted speakers, and became one of our favourites in 2017, Leno Banton and Royal Blu finally give us the visual for their track, “Meanwhile“! With JRDN MARS handling the visual, the duo take turns hitting you with the lines that you’ve enjoyed over that JLL production. It’s the mixture of fuego and light speed that you can’t get enough of since the song’s release. A bit of a trippy visual here with the addition of performance clips, and MARS did a really great job here as they fit the song perfectly. It is recommended that you have some herb for an enhanced viewing effect. Dem a talk, and dem a pree, but we just want you to catch the premiere viewing below. As 2017 comes to a close, we look back at a few songs that were favourites on the Blog for the year. While we can’t name EVERY one, we’ll give you 5 (in no particular order so hold off on the ego) to reminisce on, or get familiar with.

Starting at #5, is “Meanwhile” by the duo of Recording Artists Leno Banton and Royal Blu. Produced by JLL, the track was released in March and features the Artists going bar for bar, and pound for pound like two Heavyweight contenders in the ring. With a mix of lyrics, flows and melodies from the two, it would’ve been nice to get a collaborative EP from them next year (hint hint). Artwork provided by Paige Zxmbie and Khari Kamau.
