Style a style, and style caan spoil! Channeling the artists that influenced him, Leno Banton kicks off his new single, “Street Slam” in original style! Teaming up with Malakhii Records, catch Leno cruising on the Riddim with ease while dropping lines that makes this track an instant repeater. With Malakhii’s fun production, you might find yourself trying to ride the Riddim for a “Street Slam” remix. This is just one of many singles Leno Banton has been working on during the quarantine. He has also been venturing into the Vlogging game with a new Youtube series. The style can’t be duplicated, any attempts would be immediately deemed futile. Leno Banton continues to take steps ahead of his competitors!

We Pulled Up To: “Light Speed w/ @LenoBanton”

On August 18, we checked out “Light Speed w/ Leno Banton” at Hope Gardens, St. Andrew. With a 2 PM start, we were greeted by a Guitar strumming Leno Banton and joined some of his friends who included Recording Artists Blvk H3ro and Sheenworks, Cultural Brand Strategist Habibi Bailey of Wengi Kofia, Photographer/Artist Jeana Lindo, DJ Josh Era, Artist Khari Kamau, and more. If you were there, you’d be treated to music, water, snacks, good vibes, a generous amount of Herb, and a lot of great conversation. 2017 Faves: @LenoBanton x @TheRoyalBlu – Meanwhile (#5)

As 2017 comes to a close, we look back at a few songs that were favourites on the Blog for the year. While we can’t name EVERY one, we’ll give you 5 (in no particular order so hold off on the ego) to reminisce on, or get familiar with.

Starting at #5, is “Meanwhile” by the duo of Recording Artists Leno Banton and Royal Blu. Produced by JLL, the track was released in March and features the Artists going bar for bar, and pound for pound like two Heavyweight contenders in the ring. With a mix of lyrics, flows and melodies from the two, it would’ve been nice to get a collaborative EP from them next year (hint hint). Artwork provided by Paige Zxmbie and Khari Kamau. He has been working on his time to shine for quite a while, and this Summer sees upcoming Artist Melovice in all his glory with his debut EP, “Di Vice“. A member of the REM Collective, the Singjay dropped two singles earlier this year but hopes the EP will kick down doors for him. The 8 track EP, features Production from Mck Supreme and Palace Pikney, and boasts contributions from Leno Banton, Joedon and PTRK. Covering various subjects, Melovice has no problem showcasing his unique style over some dope Production. Shout out to Khari Kamau on the Artwork! The “REMperor” Leno Banton promised new music for 2017, and he has stuck to his word so far. Teaming up with Producer Wavy Jones, he fires off something for the Summer titled, “Gypsy“. Here he speaks on how a Black Queen has managed to mesmerize him with her magical moves. From wanting to give her a “Bxxxxxxxxt ring“, to creating life with her, it’s amazing how the right woman can captivate your mind, body and soul.
