“Say Yes” To @ItsTheTifa’s New Single

On International Women’s Day, we highlight the Women who took risks, and made bold steps to make a difference in the world. Many Women have become game changers in music, including Dancehall Artist Tifa. Her career spans well over a decade, and she has quite the discography, and place in Dancehall has been secured. Earlier, she released the new single, “Say Yes“.

Produced by Kemar McGregor, Tifa makes a dedication to all the Women in “Say Yes”. For the Women who are successful, who are standouts, and who are disruptors, this one is for you. Tifa knows what many go through in everyday life, so she took the opportunity to big them up when they’re winning in life. “Say Yes” also pays tribute to a couple Dancehall stalwarts as she borrows lines and cadences from the classic “Hol’ A Fresh” from the late Red Dragon, and the production samples the “Bounce Riddim“, which was produced by Dave Kelly for the Xtra Large label and released in 2000. Big up all the ladies, and much love to T-I-F-A. Keep this one in heavy rotation.

Badmind and hypocrisy are things we at times can’t escape. They are present in families, they are present in friends, they are present in some people who we thought were of strong character. Life does get challenging when this happens, but Dancehall Artist Tifa has a way of handling these type of people. She gets into attack mode in the video for the new single, “Doh Real“.

Directed by Christopher Facey, Tifa confronts one of her badminded friends in “Doh Real”. The Celtic 222-produced track finds the Deejay calling out those who hate on her, pretend to be her friend but are really backstabbers, and those who carry her personal business to the public. She doesn’t do it alone, and she brings reinforcements in with their own weapons ready to handle things. There’s nothing worse than someone who has wronged you after being there for them in most ways possible. When they can’t be dealt with one way, Karma comes around to fix things. Tifa will overcome her foes and make great progress this year, so stay tuned for more from her. Tell badmind fi gweh!

Dancehall Artist Tifa has already secured her spot as an Icon, but she is still building up an already impressive catalogue. She has teased retirement a few times, but like many Artists who have thought about leaving, and even exiting the scene for good, the love for the music has a hold on her, and she’s here to stay. The year has already seen Tifa perform in various parts of the world, and her music doing numbers on the streams. She continues her journey with the release of “Bizniz“!

Produced by longtime friend and collaborator Suku for Misik Muzik, Tifa gets on her “Hot Gyal Business” here. She shares what her day to day life entails, the things that many chase she has already achieved, and it’s gonna be hard for some girls to keep up with her lifestyle. Tifa’s longevity is to be respected, and her fanbase is loving that she’s still an active Artist. It’s Tifa’s world, some gyal just living in it. Big up the real hot gyal fi life!

As the saying goes, “Mouth cut cross way fi talk“. Everybody has something to say whether it’s right or wrong. Recording Artist Tifa can attest to people having a lot to say about her in her lengthy career, and sometimes she ignores it. Today however, she’s here to clap back with her latest single, “C.S.M.“.

Produced by Suku and Dre Day and released through Ineffable Records, Tifa shares a few choice words for those who have the most to say about her. She has faced many challenges as a female Dancehall artist, but has built her way up to becoming one of the legendary voices over time. If you don’t like her, listen to the chorus. If you can’t stand her, listen to the chorus. Accompanying the single is a music video directed by Facey Shot It, and it finds Tifa rocking a few costumes including a devil suit, shooting money out of a gun, and just having fun throughout the video while letting her haters know what’s up. Shout out to the Dancer Khaja J. who was featured in the video too! Don’t let the haters get you down today!

While 2018 found Tifa announcing her retirement from music, 2019 will see a delay in that as she continues to drop new music. One of her first offerings for the year is “Come Off A Me Name“! Produced by Vexxx Bad Records and FeddaWeight Productions, Tifa has a problem with those who keep her name in certain gossip and arguments. In her own style however, she kindly tells them to cease all name dropping a.k.a. “Come Offa Mi Name!“. She follows up the single with a video directed by FeddaWeight Films that finds her in colourful backgrounds and various costume changes. Be on the lookout for more T-I-F-A this year! Today December 12 marks another year on earth for Dancehall’s favourite Mermaid, Tifa! With a year that saw many ups and downs, we know today’s a blessing for her. Celebrating her life and career, we compiled “The T-I-F-A Playlist“! With hours of hits, ladies can reveal the inner hot gal and “dash out” to this, and the fellas can prepare for the many moves they’ll perform with their “Champion Bubbler“. An Artist who has stepped outside the box many times and sealed her spot as one of the great Female Dancehall Artists, we have nothing but respect for her over here. One gripe some may have with the Playlist however, some of the hits were missing, but we blame the folks responsible for distribution for that.
