C9 Says “9 Is Now” With New EP

The Trap/Chop Dancehall scene is stacked today, but you can’t forget those who helped to start the wave. North Coast-based Dancehall Artist C9 is one of the early names in the Trap Dancehall movement, and has been steadily influencing many Artists, while keeping the Studio and streets busy. Many tune in when he drops the latest sound, and he maintains a presence along with a fanbase. In this day, many seek to take the top spot, but like his new EP, C9 says “9 Is Now“.

Featuring 7 tracks, C9 returns to scene with a mission to be greater with the “9 Is Now” EP. The Deejay shares glimpses into the fast life, the ups and downs in the life he lives, and still has time to keep his listeners (including the ladies) locked in. The EP was released through G9 Records who handles all the production throughout, and includes a guest feature from Merkz. The clock has 24 hours for everyone, but when it strikes “9“, it’s C9’s time to dominate.

Ai Milly Drops Video For “Mute”

Recently, Dancehall Artist Ai Milly released his much-anticipated project, “Old Milly“. Since then, fans have been showing love for the project through Social Media posts, and running up the streaming numbers. Milly continues to showcase his unique writing style and ear for different sounds, along with shedding a light on what goes on in his world. Keeping the momentum going, he dropped the video for, “Mute“.

Directed by Bankroller Visuals, Ai Milly talks about life outside of music, his challenges internally and in relationships, and more in, “Mute”. The video finds him putting is “Trap Soul” on display yet again, and the Krush Flo-produced “Mute” has been one of the favourites off of the “Old Milly” project, and the Walk Off The Earth sample continues to add to Milly’s diverse listening. People will sometimes say your best work is your old work, and that may be true for many Artists who have classic projects and singles. Dancehall Artist Ai Milly however, has evolved into many forms over the years, and the fans enjoy all the iterations. There are some however who enjoy the older phases more, and today Milly caters to them with the release of his “Old Milly” project.

Featuring 17 tracks, Ai Milly goes back in time with his fans for his “Old Milly” project. His catalogue may not always hit the mainstream, but his core fanbase loves every release, and keeps the numbers high for them. The melodies are there, it’s still trap business, and the colour will always be purple. Dethwrld, Krushflo, Spenzout, Sinnalink, Ell Dunce, Thamo Don, and 1Stop Entertainment are just some of the Producers who delivered the sounds on the new project, with a release through DethWrld Records, Krush Flo Records, and Catalog Music Group. The floor is all Milly’s, it’s his world after all. This one is for the fans, and the “Purple Dem“.

Skippa Joins The “Hill & Gully Riddim” With “Service”

The “Hill & Gully” agenda continues, and Di Genius is busy cooking up new selections. Whether it’s daytime, or “Nighttime“, Skippa will appear with something new for the people. He’s next up on the “Hill & Gully Riddim“, joining Govana, Elephant Man, Masicka, and Valiant who have shared their official releases. Today, we get, “Service“.

With a video directed by Ruppi for Now Or Never, Skippa finds himself down by the river, and later at the dance in the video for, “Service”. Tapping into fond memories on the countryside, Skippa could be seen doing some fishing, and at the same time admiring some lovely Women who show off their dancing, and washing skills. Things get more fun when Skippa shows up at the dance, and more people get to dancing, and having a grand time. This new video calls for some whites with ice, a Kangol or Fedora, and some slacks with the Clarks. The old school styling throughout fits well with the new Riddim, and we look forward to more releases. While there have been a few who complained about the Riddim this week, we’re just looking forward to this being another cultural moment, and start a new wave like the “WYFL Riddim“. It’s “Rabbit Season” For Feloni19 With New EP

It’s open season for new music, and Recording Artist Feloni19 is always ready with some. The young Artist has been on the scene for a while, and has steadily built his following. Formerly known as “Felony“, the Montego Bay native brings a “fwoce” that quickly found favour with listeners. After covering some ground, he puts “Rabbit Season” on the notice board with new EP.

Featuring 8 tracks, Feloni19 is on the hunt with his debut EP, “Rabbit Season”. One of the newer members of the Trap Dancehall movement, he taps into familiar tropes here, but his delivery aims to connect with listeners. Known for “Force Lakka Rabbit“, “44305“, and the recent “Duppyman Style” with Skippa, the new EP is packed with enough material that will become favourites for the fans. Production on “Rabbit Season” includes the likes of DJ Mac, Cash Code, Lonzo Records, YV Entertainment, and Luwige Records. It’s Spring, and the hunt is on.
