In the WVLNTH-directed video, Ymo G won’t rest until he’s rich in “Insomnia”. On the Dynasty Global, Ultimate Street Team Music, and BandyBeats-produced track, he speaks on all that he needs to do fulfill his missions, the personal battles faced, the dedication to the chop life, and the determination that he will be rich by any means. The dark tones in the visual reflect the dark world of the Choppa life, but it’s something that many find as a haven for economic growth. Ymo wants to be rich like Mark Zuckerberg, so he’ll “wuk and believe” till it happens. Big food haffi eat.

We Have Highlights From The @JamaicaEsports Grand Finals!

Last weekend (September 30), the Jamaica Esports Initiative (JEI) held the grand finals of the National Esports League. Held at The Confucius Institute at UWI Mona, attendees entered into a world of competitive gaming, Cosplay, and more, and it was fun for all ages. The main event featured teams from around Jamaica competing for trophies, prizes, and bragging rights in Tekken 7, Super Smash Brothers Ultimate, Street Fighter 6, E-Football, and Rocket League. The JEI National Esports League was established in 2022, but the JEI has been around since 2018 fostering the growth of the Esports culture in Jamaica. With the help of organizations like the Anime Nerds of Jamaica (ANJ), Jamaica Cosplayers Club, and events like the AnimeCom Festival, more individuals are embracing and celebrating their love for Anime, Gaming, and various aspects of Pop Culture in Jamaica, and more can be done to encourage it with no opposition.

We attended the event, and captured a few highlights. We also have additional content featuring Gamers, and Cosplayers, which we will be following up with later this week. Directed by Ink Drops, it’s a party when Tommy Lee Sparta’s around in “Touch The Road”. Featuring Production by Damage Musiq, Tommy has a fresh outlook, is all about enjoying life, giving the people his all when he touches the stage, and of course sprinkle some badness throughout. The video finds him showing off a few moves, getting close with the ladies, and interacting with a few friends and family members. DeemRaw Stands Out On @DJBlkLuos-Produced, “How I’m Built”

Canada-based DJ Blkluos continues to take his Production to new levels, and aligning with various names in the process. He has maintained a significant presence over the years, and his catalogue continues to grow. Recently, he tapped in with American-Jamaican Hip Hop Artist DeemRaw for the new single, “How I’m Built“.

Featuring Trap-inspired Production by DJ Blkluos, DeemRaw takes the spotlight in letting the world know that he’s cut from a different cloth, and what he’s about will make him one to align with, or make a worthy adversary. Regardless, he keeps his circle small, and he is ready for what ever is about to happen next. The single is accompanied by a music video directed by BlvckFaceRD, and shot in the Dominican Republic where DeemRaw performs the track. DeemRaw has been on the scene for a number of years, and looks to expand his presence in more territories around the world. DJ Blkluos looks to do even more with him, and listeners can be on the lookout for that.

The connection that Jamaica has with Japan is decades long. Add music to the mix, and they’re basically siblings. Japanese Dancehall is nothing new either, and many Artists have emerged with their own styles, creating solid movements. Dancer/Recording Artist CornBread is one of those who was heavily influenced by the Dancehall sound, and has been enjoying a fruitful career so far as a Creative. Check out his latest video, “Choppanese“.

Directed by Grabba Jet and C-Syde Kreative, CornBread lets us in on the life of a “Choppanese Badman“. The “Japanese Ninja” drops clever lines, brings some energy with his crew in the visual, and has a presence on the Falcon/DJ Wavez/INGP production that is up there with some of his 876 peers. Prior to the video’s release, CornBread made a few stops throughout Jamaica including performing at a few schools, and interacting with the youth. Get familiar with CornBread today, learning Japanese is not a requirement, but it doesn’t hurt to know.
