Likkle Vybz Is “Ready” With A New Sound

Life has been good for Dancehall Artist Likkle Vybz. His Dad is back on the streets, his music is doing well, and family life has never been better. This year, he and his brother Likkle Addi are determined to conquer a larger chunk of the Dancehall scene with a number of music releases. This time around Vybz steps in a different way with the new video for the track, “Ready“.

Released through Uptown Gaza Records, Likkle Vybz tries out a new sound on his new single, “Ready”. With the ladies in mind, Vybz delivers melodies throughout as he shares that the Rockstar lifestyle is something that he’s enjoying right now, as he’s being afforded a few benefits. Any chance of him settling down won’t happen anytime soon. Likkle Vybz dabbles into a Pop vibe with this new tune, and the  Rizzy-directed Music Video enhances it. “Ready” was featured on his “Love Lane EP” that was released this past February. It’s good to be different. Like his Dad, Vybz is making bold moves with his music, and it may pay off for him in a big way. Let’s see what else he has in store.

Ka$e Teams Up With The Green Lion Crew For “What’s The Word”

Any time is a good time for new music, and Recording Artist Ka$e returns with something new. The last few months found him connecting with the people locally and Internationally, and is gearing up to be even more consistent with the content this year. Recently, he shared the video for the new single, “What’s The Word“.

Directed by The Innr City, Ka$e teams up with the Green Lion Crew for “What’s The Word”. The Deejay shares his observations of what’s going in Jamaica on the new track, and he reaches out to those in power to see what are they doing to fix things, and ensure the people are living better lives. On the other side, he’s ensuring he’s doing his part to make sure his people are good, and secure a future for his kids to prosper in. The video features not only some great scenes, but includes a few Stunt Bikers throughout, performing some of their tricks that pays the bills. Ka$e has been steadily building his catalogue, and even took the stage at Rebel Salute earlier this to year to a very welcoming audience. What’s next for the Deejay? Stay tuned for the word on that.

It has been looking up for Dancehall Artist Skillibeng for quite some time now. The Deejay has been sharing stages with the likes of Nicki Minaj and Vybz Kartel, getting to all sorts of money bags internationally, and flashing a diamond-studded smile through it all. Keeping the content game fresh, he shared the video for the track, “New Gears“.

Directed by Shane Creative, Skillibeng is living it up with his people in the video for “New Gears”. From speeding through Kingston in the Dodge Hellcat, popping bottles with friends, or just enjoying the fruits of his labour, Skilli has come a long way, and has more to conquer. The Deejay premiered the track on a Youtube-only project just a couple months ago, and has been showing it a lot of love since. Being one with a few tricks up his sleeve, expect another project in the coming weeks, and even more videos.

Dancehall Artist Ai Milly continues to give the people his “Trap Soul“. He’s keeping the Studio busy with new recordings, and there isn’t one complaint from the fans. Still making music for the “Purple dem“, tune in to, “Still Love“.

Produced by SizeDemUp Records/ChoppyPow Records/9 Mile Records, Ai Milly expresses his thoughts to the ladies on “Still Love”. He borrows from Nicki Minaj’s hit single “Pills N Potions“, and blends in his melodies throughout. Ai Milly continues to show off his musical influences, and he’s not afraid to tap into them. The track is accompanied by a Music Video directed by 9 Mile Visualz, and he’s seen putting thoughts to paper, and sending notes to his love interest. At the rate he’s dropping new music, we can expect a new project from Ai Milly later this year. Something for the “Purple dem“.

It’s a new month, and that means new content on “Oldies Sunday“! Today’s selection will shake up a few rooms, halls, and streets. We look back at Gospel Artist Kukudoo’s track, “King David“.

Produced by World Shock Media and officially released in 2009, Kukudoo made everyone rock to his “King David” tune, even the dead. Originally a song performed at Nine Nights/Wakes, the song was a mix of Revival Gospel Music, Bible stories, dancing, and Jamaican culture, and shared a few memorable lines like, “King David sit up on the heavenly throne, hallelujah…“, and “See people business and leave it alone, hallelujah…“. The backing production was regularly performed at Nine Night/Wake events, and it was only right to use for the official recording of “King David”. The song quickly gained popularity locally, and secured its place in being a highly requested song to play everywhere to this day. If a song could earn Platinum and Diamond certifications just be playing it in the streets, “King David” would own many plaques. “King David” was also performed at the “Jamaica 56” Grand Gala in 2018. It gained an big endorsement from Media Personality/Lawyer/Anthropologist Dr. Kingsley “Ragashanti” Stewart as he would play it during episodes of his “Tambourine Radio” and “Ragashanti Live” shows in the 2000s, and related shows in the future. He was also recruited to appear in the “King David” music video, which was directed by Tinman (of SwagTVFilmz) for Creative Vibes Production. The song would go on to gain notoriety on Social Media platforms Instagram and TikTok, giving it even more life through trending content.

Since the release of “King David”, Kukudoo went on to release more music and albums, and became one of the most booked Jamaican Gospel Artists. He is still active today, taking his music to various parts of the world. “King David” remains a classic.

Love is a ting eh? It’s the thing that inspired songs, poems, films, wars, you name it. Dancehall Artist Sp!da is one of the acts who joins in with her song about love. She presents to us, “IJWG (Go)“.

Produced by Kulcha and Dre Barnes, Sp!da makes a dedication to the love in her life on, “IJWG”. She takes the time to express how she feels being in love, who she’s in love with, and she will follow him to the ends of the Earth as long as he treats her right. She produces some soothing vocals on this release, and the cozy production will have you clutching your lover just a lil tighter. The new single is accompanied by a Djuvii-directed Music Video, and we find Sp!da having a soul session here, performing her track with her backing band, and it promises to be one of her best releases so far this year.
