With all that’s going on in the world, one thing is certain, the Black Man is still fighting the good fight. With more Black Lives Matter marches and protest spawning everyday, they won’t stop until justice is served, and those who were wronged inspire others to do the right thing and honour them. Recording Artists Wyclef Jean and Dre Island join the fight, and protests with good message music. Today, we see the visual for their track, “Justice“!
Directed by Ray Flaco, the video gives us a behind the scenes look at both artists recording “Justice” from their respective locations, and interacting with the people while spreading the message that justice for Black lives needs to happen. They also can be seen jogging while rocking hoodies and watching their backs, which sheds light on the injustice that the late Trayvon Martin faced. Inspired by Wyclef’s racial profiling experience, he is no stranger to calling out on injustice, racism, and wanting equal rights through his music. He recruited Dre Island for the track who is considered one of Jamaica’s most powerful messengers.
BLACK LIVES STILL MATTER!
“Justice” will be available on the deluxe version of Dre Island’s recently released debut album, “Now I Rise“, which will be released later this month. Check out the video below, and share with a friend. Show us some love/follow us on Twitter and Instagram at @13thStreetPromo.
