Dancehall Artist Squash was having one of his best years yet that was filled with hit singles, viral moments, and a rapid growth in his fanbase. What also happened was a variety of controversial moments, and tragedy. While it may have taken a toll on him mentally, he is taking it a day at a time. He is still showing his strengths, and has released the visual for, “Times Like These“.

Directed by DirectorBadz and featuring Bobby 6ix, Squash is facing each day with fire in his eyes, and despite his down times, he’s not letting them get the best of him. Bobby 6ix supports his brother with hard-hitting lyrics, and together they show that they’ll continue to get stronger over a Hemton Music beat. “Times Like These” will have listeners becoming more cautious, and being more aware of their surroundings, who and what they give their energy to, and overcoming troubles. 6ix is still real.

This week, Dancehall Artist Squash’s name has been brought up in relation to a few shooting incidents in Florida. With rumours circulating that he was either shot or killed, he took to Social Media to refute those claims. While other outlets may produce content to keep his name circulating for all the wrong reasons, Squash is seeing red in the visual for “Flames In Ma Eyes“.

Directed by DirectorBadz, Squash finds himself in a very cautious mood. Tensions are rising high, and he has be on guard at all times. He has a lot to live for, and he’s not letting anyone try to get the best of him. “Flames In Ma Eyes” was produced by Hemton Music and 6ix Real Records. Dancehall has always shed a light about the struggle, and the good times that people have experienced. Many practitioners of the genre have made songs that spoke about the everyday life, and what one can expect in them. For St. Thomas based Dancehall Artist Shaqstar, he uses it to speak about pain in “Drowning“.

With a video directed by Hot Spot Studios Cinematography, Shaqstar shares his pain and sorrow. Paired with his vices, Shaqstar shares that life isn’t easy, and he is tested everyday. Depression is real out there, and Shaqstar uses the music as a form of therapy, and many listeners will be able to relate to the lyrics. “Drowning” was produced by Blueface Records on the “Silence Riddim“. Shaqstar has been busy progressing thanks to release of his “Seaforth Son” EP, and he looks to make his name bigger over the course of time. The topic of Mental Health continues to grow in Jamaica, and we hope there will be more safe spaces and platforms for those who are fighting battles mentally. Take it a day at a time.

Dancehall Artist Squash has been sitting high in his own lane all of 2022. With a collection of hits, he has ensured that he made a lot of noise in the Dancehall circles. While he has songs about living the good life and partying it up, he has his moments where he gets serious. On the new single, “Peace Of Mind“, he approaches with a different tone.

Produced by 6ix Real Records/Hemton Music, Squash seeks an escape. With so much going on the world, Squash prefers his own company, and wants no part of any of the craziness. With his 6ix crew in attendance, they all show off fancy footwork while Squash continues to dominant with his music.
