Today, August 6, is recognized in Jamaica as “Independence Day“. The Island celebrates its 63rd year of Independence, and every year it is celebrated with a “Grand Gala” event. Held at the National Stadium Complex, the event will boast performances by 2,500 performers, and honour a number of prominent figures in Jamaica, including recipients of the “Reggae Icon” award.
