For many child stars, the life that they’re accustomed to stops when they hit puberty. For child stars like Dancehall Artist Wayne J, his music career has grown gradually as he matures. While many will remember the little boy that graced stages with his unique songs, the teenager has been developing his flow, and sharpened his lyrical game since then. Today, we check him out in the visual for the single, “We A Rock Dem“!

Directed by II Fold Creative Studios and shot at locations like the Balcome Park Primary & Junior High School and the Freedom Skate Park, Wayne J takes it to the streets as he fires off hot lyrics over a Mirror Ink Productions beat, and connects with the people as they are sharing good vibes and unity. Wayne J doesn’t hold back as he talks like the “Young Boss” and “Gyallis” that he is, and staying as fresh as ever. He collaborated with Blvk H3ro last year on the “New MillenniumEP, and you can expect to hear him on more tracks this year. Let the music rock you!

@OfficialWayneJ Shines As Ambassador At United Nations Conference In Germany!

Recording Artist Wayne J may have gained a buzz thanks to being one of the brightest youngest Deejays in the past few years, but he also wants to make a positive change in the world. Recently, the Youth Ambassador of the Alligator Head Foundation represented Jamaica as a member of the COP23 Jamaica Delegation at the UNFCCC (United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change) Conference in Bonn, Germany. Invited through a collaboration between the United Nations and Australia’s TBA21 Academy, Wayne J served as the youngest member at the Conference which gathered over 30,000 people from all over the world to share and develop new ideas in order to meet the goals of the Paris Climate Change Agreement.

During his visit and presentation, Wayne J delivered great points and make it clear that in moving forward “Everyone should have an understanding in how to approach the changes in our Planet”. The Ambassador added the importance of Conservation, and encouraged all in attendance to create more strategies in preserving and protecting the Earth. He is set to visit the Fiji Islands and other parts of the World as a part of his duties as Ambassador in the coming weeks.

While Wayne J has released a few singles this year and made a few appearances locally, he is set to continue making his Artist side be heard in 2018 with the singles “TOM” and “Better Days”. He is also working on an EP to drop sometime later next year.

NEW MUSIC: @OfficialWayneJ – Any Day Now (Ben 10)

Wielding the microphone like a battle axe today is the young don, Wayne J. Titled “Any Day Now (Ben 10)” and produced by Dennis “Greatest” Hamilton, Wayne throws jabs at any and every artist, says artists should drop the gun lyrics and come with more creative lyrics, and puts himself on a pedestal to be the next great Dancehall artist. Big lyrics from the young general, it would be very interesting to hear him clash some of these established artists. What do you think? Check out the track below and share your thoughts in the comments section.

NEW VIDEO: @OnstageTV Interviews @OfficialWayneJ

With the Chikungunya Virus spreading like wild fire in Jamaica, it has knocked many off their feet and not in a good way. In the Dancehall culture, artists usually take a popular topic and turn it in a song. One of those artists is 11 year old Wayne J with his “Chikungunya Song“. Performing it on Onstage and assisted by dancers, he later revealed that he and his family have also contracted the virus. A popular song on the radio and Internet, the doors have also opened for other acts to follow. I wish Wayne J and his family a speedy recovery and to the readers, stay safe from “Chik V”. Check out the video below and share your thoughts in the comments section.
