Jamaica’s music culture continues to seep into all forms of Pop Culture. No matter the year, expect to find music and some of our favourite artists in TV shows, Films, and Commercials. The legendary iNi Kamoze is no stranger to this, but recently his classic “Here Comes The Hot Stepper” was featured in the latest episode of “Family Guy“.
On episode 13 of Family Guy’s 19th season, iNi Kamoze’s “Hot Stepper” was given quite the feature. From being performed by Peter Griffin (voiced by Seth McFarlane), to the actual song being used in another scene, expect the Jamaican flags to pop up around the world when it played.Ā Produced by US Producer Salaam Remi (Remix version) and the late Jamaican Producer āFatisā Burrell (Original) and released in 1994, this is iNi Kamoze’s biggest hit, and has been featured in Commercials for JC Penney, and has been sampled by Nicky Jam, Dr. Dre, and many others.
