Since his debut in the 2000’s, the “Gully Gad” has been working hard to seal his place as one of the best Dancehall Artists to touch the mic. While there were feuds and many detractors, he puts his foot on the speaker box and unleashes the “Dancehall Prophecy“! With Justus Arison controlling the production on the soon to be released Time Machine Riddim, Mavado puts his heart into this song as he speaks on some of his trials and rising above the adversities, coming from nothing and seeing success on another level, doing a lot for Dancehall, and staying on top of his game despite those who wish his demise and try to stop him from taking care of his family. The video accompanying the track shows Mavado linking with some of the best including performing with DJ Khaled, seeing fans from a various parts of the world enjoy his music, and highlighting the loved ones he puts his all for. Chase Cross Releases New EP, Follows Up With New Video, “Satisfied”!


If you’re familiar with Mavado, then you should know about Chase Cross a.k.a. “Kite Boss”. The cousin of the “Gully Gad” has been doing his thing over the years, and he wants more this year with the release of his EP, “Gully Ting“. Featuring 8 tracks, he offers his dose of street anthems with a lil something for the ladies. Keeping his brand hot for the summer, he released the video for the first single titled, “Satisfied“. Directed by Heavy Films and Thugzbunny, he delivers his signature sound for the ladies as he proclaims he’ll keep them satisfied.

With production from White Gad Records, Tuch Point, and Marvoni Productions to name a few, Chase Cross hopes to hold his fans over and gain new fans with his latest EP. It’s no secret that Hip Hop Artist Drake is a fan of Jamaica’s music culture. From his choice of slang, to his affiliations, to his hometown being chock full of the Jamaican influence, it’s only right that his “Views” album gets some of the essence. Off the recently released album, Dancehall Artist Mavado is featured on Views’ 2nd track, “9“. “9” features a sample from the Deejay’s 2007 single “Dying” off his “Gangsta For Life” debut album. “Dying” was produced by DASECA Productions and features Serani. It’s not the first time both Artists have crossed paths as Mavado played a role in Drake’sFind Your Love” video off “Thank Me Later“, and Drake was a guest during Mavado’s set at “Britjam 2011“. “Views” also sampled Beenie Man’sTear Off Mi Garment” on an updated version of “Controlla” which was previously leaked with Dancehall Artist Popcaan. “Controlla” also gave writing credits to Jamaican Producer Stephen “Di Genius” McGregor and Supa Dups. “Tear Off Mi Garment” was produced by Patrick Roberts and was released in 1995 on the “Urkle Riddim“. Popcaan’sLove Yuh Bad” is also sampled on the Rihanna assisted “Too Good” and also includes Supa Dups in the writing credits. The track was produced by Dre Skull and is featured on Popcaan’s debut album, “Where We Come From“. Popcaan is currently affiliated with Drake’s OVO group. “Views” is now available on iTunes.
