It’s always a good day when an Artist can secure a placement. Jamaica’s own DeeWunn, who has been enjoying a few high profile placements over the years, recently added a new one to his list, and it comes from one of the biggest names in the world.

Recently, Deewunn’s “Back It Up, Drop It” single from 2019 was used as the soundtrack from McDonald’s France’s upcoming “Music Tour” campaign. The video was used in the campaign’s Commercial, and it features animation work from Paris-based Eddy Film production company, and done in collaboration with French-based Temple Caché Creative Studio. “Back It Up, Drop It” was produced by Leo Justi, became a hit for Deewunn, and was previously used in campaigns and Commercials for Samsung, Electronic Arts (NFS Heat), and others. Congrats to Deewunn, and we look forward to more Artists making their music show up in various forms of Media.

Where are the Gamers? Recently, popular Racing Simulation series “Need For Speed” released their latest Video Game titled, “NFS Heat“! For those who are into Cars of all makes along with Nitro-burning speed, this one is sure to be a great addition to your collection. Along with the game comes a pretty heavy soundtrack that features Jamaica’s own DeeWUNN, Kabaka Pyramid, and Konshens on the tracks, “Back It Up, Drop It” (ft. Leo Justi), “Murder Music” (ft. Chase & Status), and “Reload” (ft. Eve) respectively. The soundtrack also features music from the likes of Latin Artists Zion Y Lennox, Toro Y Moi, and Alvaro Diaz, and Afrobeats Artist Burna Boy.

While these Artists are no strangers to being featured on various soundtracks over the years, they join the many who have had placements on the soundtracks for games like “Grand Theft Auto V” and the NBA 2K series. “NFS Heat” will be released on November 8, but check out the official Playlist below. Recording Artist DeeWunn had many listeners moving when he dropped “Mek It Bunx Up” a few years ago, but soon he’ll make them “Back It Up, Drop It“. The upcoming single, which features Brazilian Producer Leo Justi (of Heavy Baile) and released through Waxploitation Records, has recently found its way in Commercials before being available online. Thanks to Electronics giant Samsung, the single was featured in a 30 second promotional spot for the recently unveiled Samsung Galaxy S10 Smartphone series. The BassHall single provided the soundtrack as the company celebrated 10 years of “Pioneering Mobile Firsts“, and their latest creation.
