Yaksta Declares “The Microphone Saved Me” With New Album

Recording Artist Yaksta is a living example of perseverance. Having started his career from humble beginnings in the 2010s, he has been making every year better than the previous one. The late 2010s/early 2020s gave him a number of high profile moments, and he has not slowed down. The past few months found him in some controversy, but he always had the music to focus on. With a new album ready for the world, he’s defending creativity, and ensuring that his lane fosters more success. He steps out with, “The Microphone Saved Me“.

Featuring 11 tracks on the digital version while physical copies boast 12-15 tracks on his official website, Yaksta is unapologetically himself with the album, “The Microphone Saved Me”. The title is a testament as life could have been very different had he not chosen to put his lyrics over production. His lyrics are raw and direct as they dabble into topics from relationships, to everyday life, to his societal observsations, and if you have heard the previously-released album cuts, he doesn’t hold back. Production on “TMSM” includes the likes of Track Starr, Princeton Brown, Kingsway Music Group, David Luckain, Kabaka Pyramid, and Troyton Rami, while Silk Boss, Lone Don, and Dre Tegs make up for guest features. The work never stopped for Yaksta, he just focused on becoming better. Thankful for that Microphone.

Silk Boss Shares The “Midnight Drama” In New Video

They say sometimes the best stories happen at night, and Dancehall Artist Silk Boss found himself in a situation. What was gonna be a regular night turned into something that needed a Riddim and Studio immediately. Silk Boss shares the drama, more like the “Midnight Drama“.

Produced by Weekday on the “Super Glue Riddim“, Silk Boss got caught up with the Women in some “Midnight Drama”. Chilling with Weekday in a Top Shootah-directed video, Silk shares the saga while we’re given a few scenes. The night could’ve made a left turn, the night could’ve been a boring one. But with Silk Boss, anything is possible, and he had to showcase his storytelling skills for this one. What a piece a drama.

Silk Boss, AllahWalk, Simmo Team Up On “Count Those Steps”

Life has its ups and downs, but we live it in the best way we can. Some days we have to put on a face just to get by, and ensure we make it through the day. One thing about music, there will always be a song that taps into what we’re currently feeling, and Dancehall Artist Silk Boss does that with the new single, “Count Those Steps“.

Produced by Simmo for Simmo Records and featuring AllahWalk, Silk Boss puts his pain in the music on “Count Those Steps”. Slik and Allah use the Studio as Therapy as they speak on their various issues, and whether it be about hardships, failing friends, and internal battles, they compiled something that will resonate with many. Silk Boss has been one to share some of his battles through his music, and this new collaboration with AllahWalk is just a part in his journey to true healing. No matter how tough the times are, do and be your best in any way, and try to keep your head up.

Silk Boss Channels His Pain In “Vent”

They say health is wealth, but for some of us, our mental health has been in the red. There’s a lot going on in the world, and we’re all affected by them in one way or another. Some of us have been struggling to make it to the end of the day, some have sadly chosen other paths. Dancehall Artist Silk Boss has had his share of troubles over the past few years, and he has been vocal about some of them. He fights his battles, but now he’s taking the time to “Vent“.

Produced by Rockit Muzik/Ice Queen Records/Dynasty Global, Silk Boss channels through song in, “Vent”. He’s facing demons, he’s fighting battles mentally and physically, and he’s honest about his mental health being affected, and the things he has done. From fake friends, to deceptive partners, he’s asking for guidance to overcome them all. The Saii Media Group-directed Music Video shows the Deejay sporting a Hospital gown, being bounded by ropes, and confined to a Wheelchair throughout the clip. There are times where evil lurks in his presence, but he’s doing his best to get away from it. Silk Boss is definitely one of those Artists who doesn’t hide what he goes through, even if it means getting a negative reaction to the public. We all have our battles, but we hope the Deejay finds some peace in the meantime.

Silk Boss Addresses The “Media” In New Video

Dancehall Artist Silk Boss has been the topic of discussion from various outlets over the years. When the songs don’t connect with some, they jeer him. When it comes to his personal life or public battles, he’s the punchline of all jokes, and the topic of many negative Social Media posts and comments. He has had enough, and he uses the music to address the detractors in, “Media“.

Directed by KD Visuals, Silk Boss speaks his mind to the public in “Media”. Done in the style of the “Let’s Be Honest Podcast” (called “Just Being Honest”) couch Interview, Silk shares with the host his frustrations of being a target for public scrutiny, but is determined to keep living his life despite what people have to say. As an Artist, Silk Boss has some solid tracks, outside of the music, he has been involved in a few things, and has been accused of even more things. We hope he tries to get things in good order, and focus on the important things so he doesn’t get called out by the public.
