Relationships are great, but can be the worst thing ever when there is disloyalty. It doesn’t matter the circumstance, when a partner experiences “bun” or cheating, it’s not a good feeling. Some may take it in stride, others will react in ways that can get very bad. Nobody deserves to be betrayed. Speaking of “bun”, Stephen “Di Genius” McGregor sheds light on the topic in, “Bigger Than Bun“.

Di Genius has been consistent these past few months providing songs that are relatable and entertaining, and recently he tackled the topic of cheating in, “Bigger Than Bun”. The claim is nobody is exempt from being cheated on. No matter how loyal someone says they are, no matter how effort is given for the relationship, there are some pretty messed up people in the world who are weak to every beck and call, and just don’t believe in staying faithful to one partner. The title serves as something to know, even the richest person in the world can’t stop his partner from stepping out of the relationship. Rainy days, don’t you just love them? While we’d prefer to be home and under a proper roof when the rain is falling, not all of us are fans. However, lots of exciting things can happen when you have someone special during the rain. Aidonia knows about those times well, and on “Pit A Pat“, he shares his experiences with the ladies.

Produced by Di Genius, Aidonia speaks on how wild the ladies get when it’s raining on, “Pit A Pat”. With a Music Video directed by Shane Creative, the Deejay is having some good times with a few ladies (including emerging Video Vixen Zho) who ooze sex appeal, and know how to take charge when needed. Aidonia and Di Genius continue to make great music together, and at this point we need a complete project with just these two. The Deejay has been having a blast this past summer, and for the rest of the year we expect him to take “Pit A Pat”, and some of his classics to more International stages. There’s nothing like home. Whether you are abroad or a few miles away, there’s nothing like being in the place you were born and raised in. For Dancehall Artist Laden, the Parish of St. Elizabeth means everything to him, and for that he holds the title of “Senty King“. Do you love there more than him? Check out the video for the single, “My Place“.

Directed by Rizzy for Now Or Never and featuring Stephen “Di Genius” McGregor, Laden shows hometown love in, “My Place”. He emphasizes the importance of his place, stating that he’s good there, and the bonds made there are stronger than ever. Shot in Junction, St. Elizabeth, we see familiar spots, and unity throughout. Laden and Di Genius share plenty history together, and it’s great to hear them on a track now. For those missing home, may this video be one of them that jog memories of being at chill spots, hanging out with friends, and taking in the nightlife on the weekends. Home is where the heart is.

The 2000s in Dancehall Music was an era that can never be duplicated. There were local and International crossovers, the ascension of Deejays who went on to become legends, and lots of good vibes and energy. It was in the mid 2000s that the world warmed up to a young Producer by the name of Stephen McGregor. The son of the legendary Freddie McGregor was determined to carve his own path in music, and the determination won. When he got his start, there was no stopping him, and he made hits with everyone. From Mavado, to Vybz Kartel, to Laden, to Agent Sasco, to Nicky B, to his brother Chino McGregor, the world got familiar to the sounds of “Di Genius“. There’s a lot of history in that Big Ship Studio. The years that followed saw a shift in the music Industry as MP3s and CDs soon gave way to Digital Music Streaming, and a number of those Di Genius hits never crossed over. In 2024, after lots of work, Stephen has made it a reality with the release of “The Recovered Files” album.

Featuring 20 classic tracks, Di Genius restored some of our favourites from the 2000s on “The Recovered Files” compilation album. We get music from a Vybz Kartel who was in heading into a new level of prime, a young Aidonia who was venomous on a Riddim, Chino who found his pocket and cruised over his brother’s productions, the rise of the “Gully Gad” Mavado, a young firecracker that was Blak Ryno, and more. Fans will fall in love with the “Darker Shadow Riddim“, recite some Gaza Commandments, reflect on their allegiances to Gaza, Gully, and J.O.P., and enjoy the work of Di Genius over and over on their favourite streaming platform. We believe “The Recovered Files” will be the start of a series of restorations and releases in the coming months, and with Di Genius at the helm, we know it will be a celebration every time. The Summer is around the corner, and there are two people who seek to own it. After not collaborating for a number of years, Mavado and Stephen “Di Genius” McGregor reunite for a new single that is bound to make plenty noise. They get things started in, “Bubble & Brace“.

For the ladies who know that they possess a special kind of beauty, and know how to be the centre of attention, Mavado and Di Genius have their sights set on you in “Bubble & Brace”. Inspired by 80s Pop Music, Di Genius provides the right sound that allows Mavado to reel the ladies in, and giving the people a hit for 2024. The “Gully Gad” and Di Genius never made a bad track, and we hope there are more collaborations in store. Everything comes to life with the help of Shane Creative for the Music Video, and it will have everyone staring especially at the lovely ladies featured. January is a month for new music, and a few highly-anticipated ones have been given the green light. Last year, Dancehall Artist Jada Kingdom previewed a single called, “Those Days“. The opening vocals instantly took listeners back in time as Reggae/Dancehall Icon Sizzla Kalonji’s 2002 classic “Just One Of Those Days” was the featured sample, drumming up a lot of requests for its release. The wait is over as Jada finally unleashed the tune.

Produced by Stephen “Di Genius” McGregor and released through Money Well Spent, Jada Kingdom shares some of her down times on “Those Days”. She asserts her value, emphasizing her need to take care of herself and people who matter the most to her. Her days may not always be the best, she holds the faith, keeps an eye on fleeting people in her life, and move forward as stress free as possible. The sampled “Just One Of Those Days” by Sizzla was produced by the late “Bobby Digital” Dixon, and is one of Kalonji’s biggest hits to date having successfully crossed over on the International market in the early 2000s. We believe there’s a remixed version of “Those Days” featuring fresh vocals from Sizzla, but we’ll have to wait and see if that will materialize. Jada Kingdom has hinted that she’s working on an album and more music with “Di Genius”, we just have to stay tuned to see what’s next. Just one of those days…
