Earlier, US R&B star Ari Lennox released her new album, “Vacancy“. The album adds to a catalogue that has connected well with many worldwide, showcasing her style that continues to evolve. The album is stacked, but this legendary Artist stands out in the feautres, especially in the track, “Company“.

Produced by Supa Dups and Stephen “Di Genius” McGregor, Ari Lennox enlists the legendary Buju Banton for, “Company”. The song finds the Artists wanting to share their space with that special someone, something that’s very relatable at this time, as we all need that one person to hold and give love to. Ari takes control of the production with ease, and with the “Gargamel” onboard, this makes for a track that will stay in heavy rotation. Buju continues to let the world know that while he is a legend in Reggae and Dancehall, R&B is one of the bases that he calls his musical home as well. With a sizable catalogue to go with her personality and talent, she quickly became a fave for many, and a guilty pleasure for others. The 2020s found her to be just as successful, even with controversies here and there. Now in 2026, she’s leading the charge in a different way. She unleashes her new EP, “Just A Girl In A Money Man’s World“.

Featuring 6 tracks, Jada Kingdom enters a new era that focuses on broadening her range with the release of her “Just A Girl In A Money Man’s World” EP. The long-awaited project promises to be a hit for her fanbase, and extend her International reach that has been official since the late 2010s. She teamed up with legendary Producer Stephen “Di Genius” McGregor for a number of tracks, while Yo Christon secures a few slots himself. Funny it was just months ago Jada K was contemplating retirement, but we appreciate that she’s still out here with renewed energy, and possesses a readiness to do even more. Relationships are great, but can be the worst thing ever when there is disloyalty. It doesn’t matter the circumstance, when a partner experiences “bun” or cheating, it’s not a good feeling. Some may take it in stride, others will react in ways that can get very bad. Nobody deserves to be betrayed. Speaking of “bun”, Stephen “Di Genius” McGregor sheds light on the topic in, “Bigger Than Bun“.

Di Genius has been consistent these past few months providing songs that are relatable and entertaining, and recently he tackled the topic of cheating in, “Bigger Than Bun”. The claim is nobody is exempt from being cheated on. No matter how loyal someone says they are, no matter how effort is given for the relationship, there are some pretty messed up people in the world who are weak to every beck and call, and just don’t believe in staying faithful to one partner. The title serves as something to know, even the richest person in the world can’t stop his partner from stepping out of the relationship. Rainy days, don’t you just love them? While we’d prefer to be home and under a proper roof when the rain is falling, not all of us are fans. However, lots of exciting things can happen when you have someone special during the rain. Aidonia knows about those times well, and on “Pit A Pat“, he shares his experiences with the ladies.

Produced by Di Genius, Aidonia speaks on how wild the ladies get when it’s raining on, “Pit A Pat”. With a Music Video directed by Shane Creative, the Deejay is having some good times with a few ladies (including emerging Video Vixen Zho) who ooze sex appeal, and know how to take charge when needed. Aidonia and Di Genius continue to make great music together, and at this point we need a complete project with just these two. The Deejay has been having a blast this past summer, and for the rest of the year we expect him to take “Pit A Pat”, and some of his classics to more International stages. For Dancehall Artist Laden, the Parish of St. Elizabeth means everything to him, and for that he holds the title of “Senty King“. Do you love there more than him? Directed by Rizzy for Now Or Never and featuring Stephen “Di Genius” McGregor, Laden shows hometown love in, “My Place”. He emphasizes the importance of his place, stating that he’s good there, and the bonds made there are stronger than ever. Shot in Junction, St. Elizabeth, we see familiar spots, and unity throughout. Laden and Di Genius share plenty history together, and it’s great to hear them on a track now. The 2000s in Dancehall Music was an era that can never be duplicated. There were local and International crossovers, the ascension of Deejays who went on to become legends, and lots of good vibes and energy. It was in the mid 2000s that the world warmed up to a young Producer by the name of Stephen McGregor. The son of the legendary Freddie McGregor was determined to carve his own path in music, and the determination won. When he got his start, there was no stopping him, and he made hits with everyone. From Mavado, to Vybz Kartel, to Laden, to Agent Sasco, to Nicky B, to his brother Chino McGregor, the world got familiar to the sounds of “Di Genius“. There’s a lot of history in that Big Ship Studio. The years that followed saw a shift in the music Industry as MP3s and CDs soon gave way to Digital Music Streaming, and a number of those Di Genius hits never crossed over. In 2024, after lots of work, Stephen has made it a reality with the release of “The Recovered Files” album.

Featuring 20 classic tracks, Di Genius restored some of our favourites from the 2000s on “The Recovered Files” compilation album. We get music from a Vybz Kartel who was in heading into a new level of prime, a young Aidonia who was venomous on a Riddim, Chino who found his pocket and cruised over his brother’s productions, the rise of the “Gully Gad” Mavado, a young firecracker that was Blak Ryno, and more. Fans will fall in love with the “Darker Shadow Riddim“, recite some Gaza Commandments, reflect on their allegiances to Gaza, Gully, and J.O.P., and enjoy the work of Di Genius over and over on their favourite streaming platform. We believe “The Recovered Files” will be the start of a series of restorations and releases in the coming months, and with Di Genius at the helm, we know it will be a celebration every time.
