Joining the set of Irie FM’s “What’s The Scoop” this week are Mr. Vegas and Latty J. Hosted by K’Shema and Lady Rennae, Vegas went through many of his hits before introducing Latty J and have her perform a few songs. A very entertaining segment this week as Mr. Vegas is a Dancehall veteran with many singles stashed. As he said, Latty J is one of the baddest new acts to emerge on the scene. PRESS RELEASE: @KirkAlert1 Is Ready To Shine Each And Everyday

Upcoming artiste Kirk Alert is making his voice heard with his new single ‘Each and Everyday’. The single which has been receiving airplay in Jamaica and New York features artistes Vision and Scrue and was produced by Shevon ‘Diego’ Parchment on the ‘Di Love Zone Riddim’.

“Each and Everyday is about youths and their struggles in the streets” shared Kirk who is a father of three girls. The video for the single by Lagikz Supreme Studios was shot in Seaview Gardens in Kingston and Brooklyn, New York featuring Kirk Alert and several children. Kirk added “As an artiste, it is important that I use my voice to spread a positive message and as a father it is imperative for me to try to make a change”.

Kirk Alert started recording music in his early twenties and has since built a name for himself in the streets of New York. The artiste has been promoting and making several appearances in the city and is eager to share more of his music on the Jamaican music scene.

He is set to release his mix tape entitled ‘Spotlight Invasion’ featuring several new singles in March.

PRESS RELEASE: @MelpoMellz Set To Release New Single In Jamaica

Swedish recording artiste Melpo Mellz is set to release her new single ‘Whine Up’ produced by Cashflow Records. According to Melpo, “This song is about me having fun and celebrating the time given to me to shine; it carries a positive vibe”. She added, “The chorus of the song is me being led by the rhythm of the song while the verse is about showcasing me and my talents”. Mellz indicated that she also has many new songs to release as she is eager to make her mark in Jamaica. Mellz, who is also a choreographer and dancer in Sweden, encourages others to work hard and to use all their talents. She explained, “I try to combine all my skills in what I do; I choreograph, I dance and I am a singjay who writes my own lyrics. All of these skills came in handy as I used them to write the song and plan the video shoot for ‘Whine Up‘ which was shot in both Sweden and Jamaica”.

‘Whine Up’ will be released this month and its teasers have already been given thumbs up from its listeners.

PRESS RELEASE: @ProdiVOP876 Moving Forward, Never Backwards!

Recording Artiste Prodi has rebranded himself into a progressive artiste. Since his rebirth, Prodi has released singles such as, ‘Hustlers Anthem’, ‘Kingston City’, ‘Never Leave’, ‘Circle Small’, Rat Poison, and ‘Love Me Like This’ just to name a few.

Not only has Prodi gained more fans, but he has also garnered the attention of the famous The Rolling Stone Magazine. In December 2014 Prodi was quoted in the Italian issue of the Magazine making reference to the release of his upcoming album, ‘Kingston City’. Additionally he made the announcement that the popular brand ‘House of Marley Headphones’ has agreed to use his single ‘Circle Small’ to endorse their products in a new campaign.

Prodi who kick-started 2015 with his performance at one of the most anticipated Reggae Festivals of the year, Rebel Salute, was well received by his fans. Before the show Prodi shared that “With the full family effort of The Most High God, Radikal Yawd and Yawd Movement, a performance will be brought to the table that no else can produce”, and he delivered!

PRESS RELEASE: Jamaican Publicist Represents Dancehall Overseas

Publicist, Event Planner, and Entrepreneur Talisa Taylor has been added as one of the hosts on the popular international Dancehall Programme ‘Dancehall Connections’. The programme airs on CEENTV in the New York Tri-State area on Cablevision channel 1103 and also in Ontario, Canada on Roger’s Network Channel 684, Bell Fibe Channel 661; LINKTV on Oliver channel 45 in Portmore Jamaica and now on Hype TV Digital TV channel 11.3 in Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties in Florida. Dancehall Connections links Dancehall content from all over the world in a one hour programme for its viewers.

“I am very grateful for this opportunity, there is so much going on in the Dancehall here in Jamaica and I am very happy to be given the chance to share this with other countries” shared Talisa. Talisa is known for her work with Subkonshus artiste Delus, Kym (formally Gaza Kym), and Prodi (formally Prodigal Son) to name a few. She is also the former senior producer of Hype TV in Jamaica. “Talisa is very easy to work with and she knows her content very well” shared Nigel Reynolds, CEO for Dancehall 360 Degrees, the umbrella Company for Dancehall Connections.

The programme recently featured Sting 2014, Stone Love Anniversary Party, and several interviews with chart topping artistes. “My segment in the programme is called Dancehall Review and I will be featuring a full review of all things trending on the Jamaican Dancehall scene” added Talisa, “so it’s about the fashion, the dance moves, the music and the personalities”.

Talisa is also set to release her own production on Hype TV in Jamaica called ‘The Release’ in February.
