Dancehall Artist Alkaline continues to keep the streets, and his fanbase busy with the release of a number of singles this year. While some may say he has fallen off a bit, others have said he’s securing his name in places other than music, and his movement is as strong as ever. Nevertheless, he is here to inspire with his latest single, “Motivation“.

Produced by Autobamb Records and Sart Out Records (R.I.P. Dane Sortie 🙏🏽), Alkaline gives listeners a dose of hope, and some encouraging words to help them through whatever life has thrown their way. The days can get rough, but at times it takes a helping hand to lighten the load. This journey of life has its share of rocky roads, but with faith and determination, the travels get easier. Alkaline has come a long way in his career, and he continues to push his brand in more parts of the world, connecting with new ears in the process. It’s not secret that Kyng Tavii is a huge Alkaline fan, so much so that the Deejay has inspired many of his skits and music. Today’s entry is no different as he was requested to make a video with the “Detta Boss” in mind. In “Dear Alkaline“, Kyng Tavii parodies Rapper Eminem’s infamous track, “Stan“, to share his love for Alkaline. He shared his ups and downs as a fan, even including taking his side when Alkaline beefed with Vybz Kartel and Popcaan. He even mentioned being a proud Stepfather for a child that Alkaline made with his girlfriend.

R&B Veteran Keith Sweat always had a thing for delivering that feel good grown folks music. From his debut decades ago, he has been the one to turn up the heat for the ladies. Recently, he released his 13th studio album, “Playing For Keeps“. While fans know what to expect from the R&B Crooner, his collaboration with Dancehall Artist Alkaline on “Fuego” was a pump on the brakes. The track, which also features Akon and RayFade, boasts some modern production and encourages you to bust a move throughout. Are there hints of Aidonia and Di Genius’ “Fi Di Jockey” and Donovan Germaine and Dave Kelly’s “Dickie” Riddims I hear? Alkaline held his own on this track and this a huge look for not only the Dancehall Artist, but for the genre on a whole. Big up the Detta Boss. Keith Sweat’s new album is out now. We Take A “Quick Throwback” Look Into @TheAlkaline’s “Mi Love Woman”!

We took a week off, but today we’re back with another post in our “Quick Throwback” series. Today we go back to the year 2011 with Alkaline’s “Mi Love Woman“! Borrowing Seanizzle’s “Split Personality Riddim“, the young Alka (who was attending Ardenne High School at the time) expressed his love for the women, and wishes to “touch all the women in the world“. He also shot a video and featured some of his high school peers.

Since the release of “Mi Love Woman”, Alkaline went on to become one of Jamaica’s most controversial Deejays with a cult-like following similar to currently incarcerated Artist, Vybz Kartel. He has enjoyed his fair share of hit songs as well, and has managed to see success despite taking time off, or being involved in conflict. Stay tuned for another quick throwback!
