Grateful Co Wants To Be Free From Stress In “No Horn”

Crop Over time is gonna be a special one this year, but to be honest, it has always been special. With the various music releases being churned out, we know that the people will be in for an amazing time. One person who is looking forward to it is Bajan Soca Artist Grateful Co as he looks forward to not only a fun Crop Over, but a stress-free life. He speaks about it in the new single, “No Horn“.

Produced by Decibel Production and Green Shanti and released through The Parris Agency, Grateful Co is determined to be free of harmful relationships in “No Horn”. He shares some of his experiences with ungrateful and deceptive Women, and he is tired of how they have affected him. No more sulking, no more stressing over somebody’s Daughter, and no more complaints because these Women can’t be completely satisfied. Grateful is packing up and embracing peace. “No Horn” is featured on the “Progressive Road Riddim“, and you can expect even more music from him leading up to the Crop Over events this Summer.

SpiceMas is in the air, and the people are ready to revel in it. Grenada has always been a powerhouse for some great music, and when it comes to Carnival, they do not disappoint. Enter Temptress, the 2023 Grenada Road March winner and the Queen of Jab Jab, and she’s ready to take on the road with the video for the single, “Crocus Bag“.

Directed by Man Of Viizion and shot in La Fillette, St. Andrew, one of the hotspots for Grenadian Jab Jab culture, Temptress and her crew are blacked out, horned up, and are ready to put everything in the bag in the visual for “Crocus Bag”. Temptress brings the energy here, and makes for one of the tunes for SpiceMas 2024 that will get everyone pumped up. “Crocus Bag” was produced by Jambalasee Grenada Muzik on the “Coals Dust Riddim“. For those unfamiliar, the Jab Jab culture is a celebration of freedom from hardships that’s unique to the Island of Grenada, and dates back to the days of slavery as slaves rebelled against the Carnival celebrations by the whites and plantation owners. “Jab Jab” is French Creole for “devil“, and the costumes/make up of black oil/molasses/black paint worn depict an interpretation of the Devil, and is not to be confused with the worship of such (and we know how people are…). Get ready to put everything in the Crocus Bag when you hit the road.

Internet sensations/Dancehall Artists 1SkiMask and Deno Crazy share a friendship that’s beyond the fame and the music. They both have made themselves big names, and have made much progress as Recording Artists. They have since taken their names to new markets, and have been securing new fans and opportunities. We get to see their progress in the video for their new collaboration titled, “Energy“.

Shot in Atlanta, Georgia and Queens, New York, 1SkiMask and Deno Crazy take on stages in the video for “Energy”. Over production by N3monia, the Artists are in focus mode, and are all about protecting what’s theirs, giving back the energy that comes their way, and how they move in the streets. The Month of May is recognized as “Child’s Month“, and on “Oldies Sunday“, we feature content that highlights former Child Stars in Caribbean music, or music that supported the children. For today’s selection, we look back at Thriller Prince’s “Teach The Children“.

Produced by Richard Bell on the “Baltimore Riddim“, “Teach The Children” was released through the Star Trail label in 1996. The song finds Thriller Prince spreading the message of good parenting, emphasizing raising children in the right way, guiding them to live fulfilling lives, and trodding on the right paths. Thriller melodically delivers over the solid production, and the messages shared are still relevant today. The song gained attention locally and parts of the world, and is a solid one on the “Baltimore Riddim”.

Since the release of “Teach The Children”, Thriller Prince continued to be an active Artist. Under a new alias Izeezi, he continued to release more music, and was recently a part of some performance events in parts of Jamaica. “Teach The Children” is still recognized by some.

Produced by Cherry Beatz, Sarina is looking for “the one” in “What U Didn’t Know“. Over thumping production, Sarina gets melodic as she shares the requirements when it comes to finding a partner. In a time where selfishness and deception are rampant, she seeks to give and receive unconditional love, find someone not so typical, and a connection that is more than physical. “What U Didn’t Know” gives off great energy that is bound to have listeners dancing and singing alone, and may just be an instant favourite for some.
