On 13thStreetPromotions.com, we’re heavy on highlighting Artists from around the World, and we welcome the patronage from any and everyone around the World. From Jamaica to Sweden, to Ghana, to Barbados, to Canada, to Austria, to Japan, we’ve featured many, and will continue to do so. Today’s entry comes from one of Portugal’s biggest exports, Richie Campbell, and he deals with some “Insomnia” in his new video.

Directed by Gonçalo Afonso, Richie Campbell deals with mental issues in “Insomnia”. Produced by Migz, Ariel, and Charlie Beatz, Richie not only has the lack of sleep, but paranoia, loneliness, betrayal, and uncertainty are giving him a challenge. The visual finds him counting Sheep, watching the clock, and trying to find rest on a number of things. The black and white visual adds to the darkness associated with Insomnia, as it continues to be an issue for many of us, especially when we’re out here pursuing our dreams and goals. For those unfamiliar, Richie Campbell specializes in Reggae, Dancehall, R&B, and Afrobeats, and has worked with a number of Caribbean Artists over the years through guest features, and Production work. Reggae/Dancehall Icon Sizzla Kalonji is celebrating a legendary landmark in his career. For 30 years, he has set the standard in Reggae Music, and has given the world anthems and classics to keep close to their hearts. He extends his legacy, and assists in the growth of a new one with the release of, “Lifted“.

Produced by Space Age Rasta for Lead Out Productions/Kalonji Music and featuring newcomer Zaila-Jazz, it’s all about the blessings that Jah has provided in Sizzla’s, “Lifted”. The combination of melodies over some smooth production brings forth a song about the love of Jah that has changed the Artists lives in a great way, and elevated their spirits to new dimensions. The song is bound to connect with fans and new listeners, and keep everyone in tune to what’s important in their lives. Sizzla keeps his lyrical muscles fit while Zaila’s vocals set the stage for even more greatness from her. This may not be related to the activities of “420“, but take a hit of this one, and keep your head in the clouds.

It’s Easter Sunday, and it’s 420. You’re either eating Easter Bun, or smoking Weed, or doing both. Either way, it’s “Oldies Sunday“, and we have a selection for you. We go back to the 80s to check out Rita Marley’s “One Draw“.

Co-Produced with Ashley “Grub” Cooper and released through Shanachie Records/TSM Records/Rita Marley Music in 1981, it’s all about the good green in Rita Marley’s “One Draw”. The aim is to get high, and Rita needs a hit of some good Ganja to make everything right. Over some mesmerizing production, one will soon find themselves on a cloud when tuning in to this track. Rita brings the melodies throughout, and provides the right sound for those who are rolling up, puffing up, and taking flight. “One Draw” quickly became a hit for Marley, and was featured on one version of her 1980 album, “Who Feels It Knows It“. The song would go on to sell over Two Million copies, and soon became an anthem for Stoners, Weed Connoisseurs, and music lovers worldwide. The song was featured in the classic Comedy Film, “How High?” among other Films, and was sampled by Cypress Hill, Biz Markie, Psycho Les of Tha Beatnuts, Black Moon, Sizzla, and Macka B.

Since the release of “One Draw”, Rita Marley went on to release more music, continued to perform solo and as a member of The I-Threes, started a number of organizations and brands under the Bob Marley and Rita Marley brands, became a Philanthropist, became an honourary citizen of Ghana, was given the Order of Distinction (OD) and Order of Jamaica (OJ) honours by the Government of Jamaica, and received a number of awards, accolades, Degrees, and titles over the years. She has scored a number of hits over the years, but “One Draw” remains one of her greatest hits, especially during 4/20.

Elephant Man Turns Up The Party With “Gimmi Rum”

Just when you thought that the party was over, Elephant Man takes stage to bring the energy levels up again. Yesterday we shared his collaboration with Gabbidon called, “New Wave“, and will get everyone dancing. This time around, he’s keeping the Bartenders and Startenders busy with, “Gimmi Rum“.

Produced by DJ Mac/Circa Eleven, Elephant Man is charged up, and gets everyone to enjoy themselves in “Gimmi Rum”. Whatever your choice of drink is, keep it flowing while you party away with Ele. Make sure the waitresses are busy all night, and don’t forget to tip. Ele continues to provide the energy that is needed, and he’ll always secure a hit. The track is followed by a Music Video directed by Rojhay Anderson with a guest appearance by Content Creator/Podcaster QueenzFlip, and you’re invited to the party to drink and rave. Elephant Man is currently in the US securing a few events and deals, and you know it’s a big deal when he’s involved. Life is good for Dancehall Icon Elephant Man. He’s celebrating 30 years in music by being as active as ever. He recently made noise in the US with a number of stage appearances, and yesterday it was announced that he was recruited by Lil Wayne for his upcoming “Tha Carter VI” album. While he continues to make moves as a Dancehall legend, he’s getting you ready for the Summer with the new single, “New Wave“.

Produced by DJ Karim/Stainless Music and featuring Gabbidon, Elephant Man is getting everyone in the dancing mood again with “New Wave”. Over some energetic production, Ele calls everyone to get on the dance floor, and give their all on it. It’s a good Friday, so it’s only right to rock out to some good tunes. Mavado Reminds Us That “God Nah Sleep”

Dancehall Artist Mavado has experienced a lot in his life. The past few years found him dealing with some bad times and loss, but he always believed that there was hope for better. Better came in the form of his son Dantay being freed from Prison earlier this year, and the reunion will be something very special. Regardless of all that happened, the Deejay reminds us that “God Nah Sleep” on his new single.

Produced by Chimney Records, Mavado stays strong in his faith despite what challenges come his way in, “God Nah Sleep”. He speaks on the plight that many Black people have gone through over the years, but provides the assurance that better days are near. In the Rizzy-directed Music Video, he shares clips of his son walking free from Prison, highlights that his former musical foe Vybz Kartel walking out to freedom as well, and shares news clips while providing strong messages throughout. The return of the “Gully God” to Jamaica seems farfetched due to his legal issues, but we look forward to the day he walks on the Jamaican pavement, reconnecting with his family, and enjoying home like never before. God nah sleep.
