Onecia Gayle’s “Cream Of The Crop” Makes For A Great Gift!

Hailing from Manchester, Onecia Gayle’s upbringing found her surrounded in Art and Literature. It was only right that she pursued those fields, and have them as assets. Released in July 2026, Onecia Gayle gives readers some History, highlight a Black success story, and brings us all back to that time where we’d shut out the world, and connect with a good book. “Cream Of The Crop” follows Shudane, a boy who caused mischief among his peers, found himself time-traveling to the 1800s to learn of George Stiebel, Jamaica’s first Black Millionaire, who built the world famous Devon House. Gayle has mastered her storytelling skills through her Social Media posts, and now looks to take her talents to the Libraries, and the classrooms. Jamaican Twitter Pays Tribute To Ian Boyne!

Monday December 18, was a sad day for many as news came of the passing of celebrated Journalist/Author/TV Host Ian Boyne. Tributes poured in and showed how loved and respected he was as he made contributions to not only Media, but his impact on the lives of everyone who has watched his work, had a conversation with him, or was even granted the opportunity to be interviewed by him on his various Programmes (Profile, Issues & Answers, Religious Hard Talk to name a few). One area where the tributes came in yesterday was from Social Media platform, Twitter. From colleagues to those who grew up on his work, they spoke on his influence on their lives, having aspirations to be interviewed on “Profile”, and even jokingly pictured him conducting “Profile” in Heaven. Anthony Bourdain is a man of the world. A former Chef, Author and Media Personality, he has dined in various places, embraced cultures and hung out and shared a vibe with just about everyone. In his new program “Parts Unknown“, he visits Port Antonio, and parts of St. Mary, Jamaica. No stranger to the Island, he gets down in the cuisine at various eateries, visited world renowned places such as the Trident Hotel and the Golden Eye Resort, and interacted with Billionaire Michael Lee Chin, former Record Producer Chris Blackwell, Actor Carl Bradshaw, Music Exec. Jon Baker and his wife Nordia Witter a.k.a. Dancehall artist Coco. There’s a lot to learn in this episode as we get a little history lesson and current event discussions, and experiences as Anthony drinks and eats to his heart’s content and gets a few sights. The Mento Band was really a great fit to this episode and much different to the Dancehall or Reggae music we’d hear in other programs.
