Featuring 16 tracks, Bugle’s “Apex” album is the follow up to the critically-acclaimed album, “Toxicity“. It’s crazy out here. The cost of living has been on a rapid increase, and it is getting hard for everyone to get by. Just when you thought basic necessities have gotten affordable for all, Inflation steps in like a movie Villain. The legendary Capleton has been listening to the people’s cries, and he has been experiencing a hit in his part of the world. He’s on mission however, to push for change in, “Gone Up“.

Produced by Control Tower Squad, Capleton is on the hunt, and is sharing some powerful messages in “Gone Up”. He shares some social commentary, and is blazing his fire on those who have chosen to practice things that don’t sit right with what is righteous. The Swag TV Filmz-directed Music Video finds him taking it to the streets, and he’s connecting with the people as they experience hardships in different forms. The “Fireman” won’t let up, and he believes that the people in power should do the right thing so that the citizens can live better. Capleton with a message.

DJ Khaled has finally released his new album, “God Did“. This marks Khaled’s 13th studio album, and it has plenty for the listener to consume. With some of your favourite Artists featured, you know Khaled had to check in with Jamaica for the album. After weeks of previews, he finally released the visual for his Jamaican collaboration titled, “These Streets Know My Name“!

Co-directed with Ivan Berrios, DJ Khaled brings together longtime friends Sizzla, Bounty Killa, Capleton, and Buju Banton, and introduces Dancehall Artist Skillibeng to the fold. Together, we get an exhibition of lyricism and that energy that only Jamaicans can deliver. With the veterans doing what they do best, Skillibeng holds his own, highlighting that the old school and new school can make something special. DJ Khaled’s inclusion of Jamaican Artists on his albums aren’t new, and some of the features have made multiple appearances. We’re curious to know who’s next on the list for Khaled’s next album.

Sponge Music & @CapletonMusic “Burn Up The Street” With New Collaboration


Manchester based Record Label Sponge Music continues to put out quality music, with the aim to make 2021 a year filled with hits. The label looks to collaborate with various top tier Artists in and outside the Caribbean, and dominate the charts locally, and internationally. Starting with a spark, they seek to set everywhere ablaze with Reggae/Dancehall Icon Capleton on “Burn Up The Street”.

Produced on the recently released “World Press Riddim”, Sponge Music and Capleton joined forces to deliver a song filled with powerful and motivational lyrics, with the “Fire Man” touch that has turned singles into classics. Since the release of “Burn Up The Streets”, it has gained thousands of streams across all popular digital music streaming platforms, and has been enjoying heavy rotation on radio around the world. A music video for “Burn Up The Streets” was released on June 11, featuring direction by Shot N’ Stunning. It has since become a trending video on Youtube, and has received plenty of support on social media. Sponge Music’s “World Press Riddim” was released in late 2020, and it features the singles, “Love Lost” by Jahmiel, “Real Dawgs” by Alkaline, and “Not Perfect” by Mavado. The Riddim also features singles by Bugle, Beenie Man, Shaneil Muir, and many others, and it has been hailed as one of the year’s best releases by fans.

On October 6, Jamaica and the world lost another Icon, Producer Extraordinaire Bunny “Striker” Lee. Known as “The Gorgon“, Bunny Lee was man who has helped to shape music as we know it as he was an early adopter of Dub Music along with the late pioneer King Tubby. He was a pioneer of the Reggae Music market in the UK, and he was also the man who produced former child star now Dancehall Icon Beenie Man’s debut album. If you didn’t know, Bunny “Striker” Lee is one of the fathers of the Remix!
